I feel like they've been reporting that the announcement is imminent for a month. Everyday I see "could be announced today" or "within the next two days."

I'd still be surprised if we announce it before the end of the season. Pleasantly surprised.

I've been refreshing this forum and wagnh since this morning, hopeful to see a certain yellow banner :D guess i'm going to be disappointed at the end of the day.
Can't wait to see an animated exchange of views between Conte, Costa and JT. Imagine that.

Would love to see our legend Sparky+Terry dream team. Both know the league inside out. They wouldn't take any shit or passengers.

But that would be the problem  -we cant have single minded managers allowed freedom, someone like Bilic or Sparky need autonomy and  wouldnt take all the Abramovich ex-Sibneft employees,  along with Micky Emanoclue sticking their oars in.

IMO we need Roman and the board replaced with someone else. They make everything WAY too fucking complicated.

#Chelsea wanted to wait until after the second leg against PSG to go public with Conte because they didn't want any distractions. [Standard]

Conte also wants all the talk over his future ended so he can concentrate on Italy's preparations for the tournament in France. [Standard]

Since we are effectively playing exhibition matches until the end of the season, I wouldn't be against the idea of Conte asking Guus to try a few things out to see if they work and what's missing.

The City and Spurs matches are super-important still, but would like them to try and experiment in some of the others.

Not a joke at all...why would you even think that?

Forgive me if I'm not forever grateful to a sketchy fucking oligarch.

if you are truly a chelsea fan and you like to see our club do well, you SHOULD be forever grateful to a man who invested more than 1 billion pounds of his own money into our club precisely so it could thrive and we could all rejoice in that success.

he could move on and then what? some douche like stan kroenke comes around who's more interested in making money than seeing success on the pitch and trophies? roman is probably one the few owners around that any fan would love, dedicated, passionate, thirsty for success and not afraid to spend 100's of millions of pounds to see that success achieved! the only drawback is that he has confidence in emanalo ,who is more or less a fraud, but nobody is perfect and if you think we're going to get an owner better than roman if he leaves, you're living in a fantasy land...

It would help if he would know what he wants out of this club, really. 1 billion spent on this club, 12 years later and we are arguably worse than we were before his arrival. He injected some quick fixes to bring us up and compete with the european giants right away, but then what? I believe the golden era it's well over already, the match to see us out from it was the PSG one at the Bridge. In europe we've bee shite since around 2010, CL win notwithstanding, after the core of players comprising Lamps, Drogba, Essien, Carvalho, Cole etc left we were some sort of Arsenal replica (2012/13) He surrounds himself with muppets and yes-men, the list could go on and on.
I'm excited about Conte taking over, but realistically, how much will it last if they try to put reins on him? A few months? Reports already say he's not to build a new team but give an "identity" to this team, if José didn't manage that, i can't see anyone else capable of pulling it off.
This is more a case of being grateful for the money, but please fuck off and let this football club be run by football people.

The FIGC – the Italian Football Federation – are meeting at 1.30pm and it is expected that Conte’s departure will be confirmed, giving Chelsea the green light to move forward with the appointment.

Everything quiet on the italian front for now. Not going to happen today i imagine :(
