Costa19 858
I want to believe that we just wait for Napoli to finish their last game for the season before we announce Sarri.

If anything is happening with him it'll be quick IMO. If Conte is still here next weekend, he stays. Which is fine with me, but he needs backing. Although i think players will want out if he stays Costa19
xPetrCechx 13,570
Want Simeone badly. can be ideal, or at least Pochettino... we will end up with Sarri/Jardim who will be sacked witnin 1-2 seasons.

Ffs, he will need time if the budget is going to be low so it wont work out. At least Enrique is sensible and knows that we need to spend a lot to compete considering the likes of City, United even Liverpool will likely go and spend. I don't think hes a great manager either but at least he is not a yes man and knows the low down. If he came here and only got 50-60m to spend he'd flop horribly because now a days that gets you maybe one top top level player and you could argue we need at least 4 new players of a pretty good level for the first 11. Unionjack 7,531
Punters backing Poch for Chelsea gig Despite a great weekend for Chelsea, the bookies seem convinced that Conte is on his way out of Stamford Bridge. Mauricio Pochettino is just 7/1 with Ladbrokes to become the next Chelsea manager. Despite winning the FA Cup on Saturday the bookies don’t believe it’s enough to earn the Chelsea boss a reprieve, and it’s odds-on at 2/7 that Conte is not in charge for the first game of the Premier League season 2018/19. Luis Enrique is the 2/1 favourite to replace him, followed by Maurizio Sarri at 7/2 and Brendan Rodgers at 5/1, however punters are coming for the Spurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, who has seen his odds tumble into 7/1. Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Conte’s still a dead man walking as far as the odds are concerned, and while Enrique is the bookies’ favourite to replace him, it’s Pochettino who is the punters’ pal.”
cosmicway 1,333
The idea of replacing Conte is silly, when the gooners clinged onto Arsene for a quarter of a century. I don't see the point. The tools he had at his disposal could only perform thus far.

Costa19 858
FFS Go get him!! Edit: Google translate: "Sarri remains? Ask him ...". "He has always sent me back to Pellegrini (Agent of Sarri) who has never given me an answer. The time has run out, there is no date! We have faced this problem anyway, now I have to worry about the reponsibility of a club like Napoli from 9 years in Europe We have to move forward without fear and without "if. ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Smacks of a guy waiting for a call from Roman or Marina. Some of Sarri's quotes “Right now I am hungry. Tomorrow I will talk to my family before anyone else. That’s what is right at this moment.” Sarri acknowledged that he will quickly need to signal his intentions to De Laurentiis. “The President needs a response quickly. We are at the end of the season and he needs to plan. “I understand that he needs an answer. “My only confusion is that in life everything comes to an end. It’s the truth and sometimes it’s better to finish stories while they are good. “When I arrived, the team had finished 24 points off the top. Now, we are four points behind. “We have not reached the target, but the journey has been fantastic. “I need to thank the crowd. Regardless of what I am doing next year, they will always have a place in my heart.”
OneMoSalah 8,886
Wouldn't be surprised if we appointed Jardim and Sarri goes to Monaco... only Chelsea eh Regarding Sarri there is only two things that possibly would put me off, firstly the lack of experience outside Italy (Italian league is good but the tempo is nowhere near as high as in other European leagues, although his style has worked in the CL but over a full 50 game season, the lack of knowledge and experience regarding the speed of the games, no winter break... the guy is also known for not rotating) and secondly, the fact that Walter Matzarri managed a similar feat, finishing second at Napoli, before having a poor spell at another big club in Italy and then came to England and struggled. Fair enough Matzarri is not Sarri and vice vesra but just food for thought. If Sarri were to come and he spoke English to the level Conte does that would be brilliant and very beneficial for him and the team but Matzarri had a translator and if we had to have a manager try coach a team via a translator it would be bad I think. There is sources saying he speaks English but I am not 100% sure. DDA and Supermonkey92

It was more likely 15-20 years ago, was doing some digging from an article from 2014, says it was not just London he had worked in as a banker, lists that he had worked in other countries in Europe such as Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland also. Not sure it also means he can speak all the languages linked with those countries which is what people seem to be under the impression based on his previous work 15-20 years ago. He was working in the international division of Banca Monte dei Paschi. I don't think they would hire people who don't speak any foreign language for that department. What I read is he used to travel to those countries for work and most finance people in Frankfurt, Luxemburg and Switzerland can speak English.
