And why haven’t we heard anything about why that move didn’t happen and we instead have to settle for a loan of a Brighton kid? Okay fine, but then why not use the €60m it was reportedly going to cost and throw that money at an actual established, quality alternative? How do we go from a really good player from Barca to a kid who Brighton don’t even want? It’s the equivalent of going to buy a Ferrari, the dealership saying sorry that one’s not for sale, and then going and leasing a Toyota Prius instead. Like wtf is this? We gambled everything that we would raise the money before deadline and have Fermin all ready to sign him, same as we wanted to do with Simons, but he didn't want to risk waiting until the last day for us to sell Jackson or raise the money needed because there was no guarantee it would happen and he would remain stuck at Leipzig for the season.
