Pizy 18,996
Ekitike to Newcastle can only mean one thing, sadly. Isak will be going to Liverpool. Surely no chance Newcastle have an £85m backup striker and I can’t imagine the player himself would go there to play second fiddle. nyikolajevics 2,713
12 minutes ago, Fernando said: Aye, Pedro is not a true striker like Delap. And today's modern futbol someone like Pedro is more valuable then Delap. Don't get me wrong it's good to have a true striker, but in todays modern futbol this is the trend. City when they got Haaland who is a beast has gone down, because they was more fluid without him, similar Liverpool with Firmino. The modern futbol the traditional strikers is not the end all, they are good to have but the team should be build like that, 3 forwards that can do everything. Following this logic, it is questionable wheter we can consider Jackson as a true striker aswell. He is closer to Joao Pedro than Delap, definetly not a classic 9 or poacher. His passes, runs and dribbles seem to be his biggest strenght, not his finishing. What I dislike about Jackson is that he is looking for his teammates too much, a striker must be a bit selfish and shoot when there's chance. Joao Pedro very impressively took his shots from longer distance against Fluminense, and also finished his 1-1 very elegantly, good to have a player who is able to do that things. Delap also didn't hesitate much against PSG, find his chances and fired. Fernando

ahmedou 198
Jackson saved our life. With his red card. Against Flamengo. It changed our destiny. Forever. Sasch
mkh 627
Robert Sanchez is in the form of his life and he will fight it out for the No. 1 shirt with Filip Jorgensen next season. Chelsea asked AC Milan about the availability of Mike Maignan last month but no deal materialised and they are unlikely to sign a goalkeeper this summer. Sanchez pulled off some spectacular saves in the Club World Cup final and he won the tournament award for best goalkeeper. If his form continues on an upward trajectory and his ability to play out from the back reliably and consistent carries on improving, he will be Chelsea’s No. 1. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders will join Strasbourg on loan. (@SkySports) Fernando and bigbluewillie 1

Pizy 18,996
All 5 UCL clubs loading up this window. It’s a serious arms race. Plus Spuds even showing ambition signing Kudus and maybe getting Gibbs-White. Plus who knows who else. The there’s Villa & Man United who haven’t really kicked into gear yet. With no European football at all I actually think United could be dangerous as an outside contender for the final UCL place if they nail the rest of the transfer window. If they sign Cunha, Mbeumo, a striker, and a CM of some sort then they’ll have a pretty strong team tbf to them.
mkh 627
Newcastle United working on deal to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. Not yet agreed or close to being done, but talks continue over potential deal ~€75m. 23yo SGE forward long-term target for NUFC & other PL clubs. Pizy 18,996
Never thought I’d see the day where a club like Newcastle could go out and spend €75m on a player that’s not even assured to start. From what I’ve been reading the last hour or so it actually seems like they don’t plan to sell Isak?

Pizy 18,996
Put a pause on the CB stuff for now since Tosin and Trev look super solid and Levi has gotten better and better recently. Wait until the next window and assess. Perhaps there’s a better CB market by then. Maybe this Sarr kid we brought over from Strasbourg is a proper player. Instead, we should get ourselves an absolute animal of a LB who can rotate with Cucu when he needs a rest and for the lesser comps. Someone who can run up and down the left side all day.
