I'd keep Santos around, he's still young and has the tools to be a good midfielder   (also, it'd be good for Estevao to have a Brazilian team mate in the side to settle in)

If Cucurella/Enzo wish to go to La Liga, that's up to them but which Spanish club has 120+ million ready to go for Enzo?

Of all of our star players, Enzo is definitely the one I could see pushing to leave this summer despite being someone who appears to genuinely care about the club. Problem for him will be that we surely can’t take a loss on the 106m we paid for him and other than PSG I can’t see anyone else affording that. Could they decide to go for him to replace the aging Fabian? I could maybe see it.

I don’t think there’s any chance Palmer or Cucu go. Cucu seems genuinely settled and loyal. Palmer would have to aggressively push for an exit AND United or City would have to put £150m on the table for us to consider I would hope. Which for clubs that will need lots of other signings could be far too much.

Tbh, the only one of our BIG players I’d be genuinely devastated about losing is Caicedo. As great as Enzo has been much of this season I think the team as a whole could actually benefit long term by having a more athletic midfielder in his place.

Palmer going to a direct rival and immediately reverting to his top level would be incredibly fucked up. For that reason I just cannot imagine the club sanctioning his exit. It would be a KDB or Salah level fuck up that would haunt us right in front of our eyes for a decade.

Usually when quotes like “ready for the next leap in his career” it means the players camp are likely looking for a move/options.

Embarrassing that we have become a club where players will now look to make their next steps elsewhere.

We used to be a club where players would leave respectable sized clubs to come and level up for the next stage or their careers, to win trophies & compete for big titles so to speak.

Fernandez wants to go then let him. I dont think hes been a huge success here, past 18 months he has got a lot more goals and assists playing as a number 10 but he was this apparent all round mutli skilled midfielder who would transform us. It hasn’t really panned out like that. Means Cole maybe goes back to playing centrally too.

we have to start facing the fact that we are now ramping up the pace to become a true selling club, and that most definitely will include most, if not all of our biggest players

it is what private equity models dictate

I think the sale that will finally wake ALL up will be Caicedo within the next 2 or 3 years

When you let the devil into your house, you can never be shocked when devilish things start to happen

Transfer reporter for The Athletic, David Ornstein, has been detailing Chelsea’s transfer plans for the coming summer transfer window.

Ornstein has been speaking to NBC this weekend and has been explaining that Chelsea are going to be busy at the end of the season once again, this after a very quiet January transfer window.

Chelsea fans will find it remarkable that we are still hearing that Chelsea want to sign many more players in basically all positions on the pitch, but that is exactly what the transfer expert is telling us all right now, even after the huge amounts of money they club have already spent under this new ownership.

“They’ve had big financial losses but that was in recent seasons. The word from Stamford Bridge is they are in better shape now and they do not need to sell any of their key players and they do not intend to.

“You will see periphery sales that I’m sure will raise big money again and they WANT to invest in the summer. In attack, in midfield, in defence. I’m not hearing suggestions that they will actually do so in the goalkeeping department as things stand.”

He was never a goosebumps player (the only goosebumps CB out there for me is well known to all of you for years, Bastoni, and maybe the Spuds Croatian wonder teen, Luka Vuskovic, who I wanted SO badly, but fucking Spuds signed him last summer. I think he has a shot, perhaps, at being the best CB on the planet by the early 2030s, certianly top 6, 8 or so, and he likely leaves Spuds very soon, perhaps without ever playing for them, especially if they make me weep in joy and get relegated)

BUT Senesi is very solid veteran CB who is EPL proven, and a lefty to boot

he is better, IMHO, than most of our other CBs atm

plus, he is now a free hit, t-fee wise

I know many here do not rate him (and as usual for thsi board, most who slate him offer no real other similar options)

but I certianly do, simply for what I expect out of him

I also know full well, unfortunately, that BlueCo will likely NOT sign him

hell, I can see BlueCo not buying any starting-level CB this summer, especially if Nantes refuses to take less than 50m euros for the teen Tyel Tati

People who think Murillo is headed here need to drop that pipe dream, same for van de Ven, Huijsen (IF Real actually sell him, which I highly doubt), Christian, Romero, Schlotterbeck, Ousmane Diomande, Jarrad Branthwaite, Castello Lukeba, Gonçalo Inácio, António Silva, and probably Joel Ordóñez.

There is a real chance we do not even sell Tosin. In fact, BlueCo is so fucked up they would sell Trevoh before Tosin, absolutely.
