Both Nice and Toulouse are trying to find a financial solution. Nice has instead raised the idea of a loan with an option to buy. Toulouse can afford a transfer fee estimated between €4m and €5m, but are being held back by the player’s salary demands. But there's no clear standout name there who will be tailor-made for a top English team like Ederson, Allison or Raya two years ago when we hesitated to pull the trigger.
