Chelsea expected to sign Sancho

Chelsea are still expected to sign Jadon Sancho permanently in the summer despite the emergence of a get-out clause existing in the deal.

@SkySportsNews

Well great another transfer like Felix of a poorly performing player because they have to give him away next year because he doesn't deliver!!!

Aurelio De Laurentiis has warned his intermediaries: Victor Osimhen will be sold to the highest bidder!

With a release clause set at €75m, applicable only to foreign clubs, the Napoli president has already called upon the best agents on the market to quickly resolve this thorny issue.

🚨 Jadon Sancho has submitted a transfer request to his management to move to Borussia Dortmund again. MUFC [@BILD]

🟡The Sancho to Dortmund story could have something to do with Gittens to Chelsea for us!!!

Unfortunately I'm not convinced Gittens will bring us goals and danger down the wings he's been playing really average at BVB since mid January!!!!

These are all the players who have moved from the Bundesliga to Chelsea in the last 25 years:

-Werner

-Nkunku

-Sancho

-Havertz

-Pulisic

-Ballack

-Schürrle

-Pizarro

-Marin

-Boulahrouz

These players also all overperformed in Germany and were mostly flops or just ok players with us!!!!

I think they want Gittens because of the homegrown rule and because Joe Shields brought him to City back then and still rates him highly.🤔

We already have enough of those players in our squad!!!

Was there any official news regarding Mamadou Sarr transfer to us? Or only rumors? Anyone who watches Strasbourg - how would you compare him to Chalobah or Huijsen?

He is Strasbourg player officially, not related to us officially. On the other hand it's quite obvious why Strasbourg can buy 10+ million teenager from Lyon. This is how multiclub-model works. Savinho was also not on City's books, still everyone knew he'd end up there. There are many good looking young players at Strasbourg who are not tied to us, but don't be too surprised if some of them end up here by time.

Why compare Chalobah and Huijsen? From what I see 3 quite different type of CBs.

I don't know much about Sarr, that's why I would like a comparision to someone who is already with us with uncertain future and another potential signing (according to rumors).

He lives in his own world. They'll probably be lucky to have one team match his clause, as they know both parties are dying to part ways.

Enzo Fernández has reportedly rejected Atlético Madrid. Several players tried to convince him to join the club during this break, but he is determined to stay at Chelsea. He likes London, yes, but all options are open. For now, Atleti isn't one of them.

80M euros and he can go, tbh

That is only £66.6m

that means we would take a £40.2m loss on him (we paid £106.8m)

Adjusted for the pound sterling's inflation since January 2023 until now, it would be closing in on a £47-48m loss, and if the sale happens 4 or 5 months from now, with the pound further losing value, we could be talking close to a 50m quid loss.
