He fumbled up that chance and got lucky to be honest. And saying that when we had players like  Silva, Kante, Chilly, even Giroud, who had more impact on that CL than Kai.

Kai still scored, fluff or not u can’t take that away from him

As it stands he’s a better number 9 than Jackson imo and Havertz isn’t really a number 9, Jackson is brilliant at getting into chances but he can’t put them away, you can’t coach that or teach it it’s just instinct and he doesn’t have it maybe he will, but my point still stands, if we had Havertz up top this season I honestly think we would have won these games Jackson managed to lose us points, yes the keeper fucks up and we lose games but half the time it’s because we have missed more chances to score and it always bites us in the arse

I disagree. Havertz rarely scores more than one goal in a game. I feel all the flaws you said about Jackson is literally the same for Havertz. Havertz has missed loads of sitters this season himself. Just look at the United game in the FA Cup (excluding the penalty) as well as the Newcastle game. He missed open goal today also. I am mot saying Jackson does not miss sitters but they both are equally as bad when it comes to missing chances. Arsenal win more games because they have a better defence and are just a better team.

So if that’s your opinion and I’m not here to say it’s wrong or right, was there any real need to sell Havertz to buy Jackson, in fact for most of our players sold have we done anything with that money except caicedo and palmer I would argue we’re worth it, can’t think of any other player we have signed I would have over the team that won the champions league actually maybe kova because he was absolutely shite today

Well I personally think, the club did not have a fixed position for Havertz and I think the idea was to have another CF here, however Jackson looked really good in pre-season and start of season, so they kind of relied on him. He was half the price we sold for Havertz and if a team is willing to pay that much for a player who doesn't really fit in your team or has no tailor-made position, the money was too good to turn down. Similar to Mount. We ideally did not want him to go to another English team but as time went on, he had no fixed position and when United came in with that offer, was a no-brainer.

The money was a no brainier, but getting the money and spending it are two different things, I would argue selling mount and Havertz hasn’t put us in a better position than if we hadn’t sold them, mount could have played lw and saved us a shit ton on mudryk, when ever we chose to sell mount he would have still been pure profit, same with Gallagher, him and caicedo were a better partnership than him and Enzo, personally for me Enzo is up there with mudryk of wastes of money

Great, now we're stuck with a player that doesn't want to be here.  Will be same as Felix, just waiting around on the bench.

They have Salah and then x-factors like Diaz, Gakpo, Jota

None are number 9s tho, let’s no act like a number 9 will solve our problems because the team at the top of the league uses jota as a 9 most of the time who isn’t a 9, Liverpool have class everywhere that’s how you win stuff, sick to death of hearing of we had a 9 this if we had a 9 that, if we had a 9 we would still leak goals like a condom made of mesh

So we want £60m for Felix…. after no team in Europe bar us were stupid enough to pay £42m for him last summer?????

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

These sporting director cunts are a joke

I really don’t know why these reports about our valuations even come out. They’re so outlandish even for this board that I don’t believe them.

We’ve seen reports that we want £40m+ for Carney, £60m+ each for Felix & Nkunku. As stupid as these guys are there’s surely no chance these numbers are real.

They seem to be doing their best to muck up any chance of Carney getting a move away as well. Doing far more harm than good in recent months.

Is olmo a free agent now?

Javier Tebas confirms La Liga have made move to have Dani Olmo’s registration canceled

The saga continues

https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/2/1/24356524/javier-tebas-confirms-la-liga-have-made-move-to-have-dani-olmos-registration-canceled

La Liga president Javier Tebas has confirmed that a move has been made to try and cancel Barcelona star Dani Olmo’s temporary registration.

Barca were granted an injunction in January to register both Olmo and Pau Victor on a temporary basis by the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) ahead of a final decision on the saga.

Tebas has already made it clear he does not agree with the situation and now says La Liga are hoping to get Olmo’s registration cancelled.

“Government intervention does not give a good image. But we have acted as the rules of both fair play and the federation dictate. The CSD resolution shows that it does not understand how licenses are given. There is an automated process,” he told El Pais.

“With the Olmo case, on 31st December, Barça told us: “We don’t have Fair Play”. They then tried to update Olmo’s registration. We told them we can’t update it, as it doesn’t have authorization to have a registration.

“On January 3, they had fair play, but then: no, you cannot because this player was already deregistered on the 31st and cannot have a new license.

“What does the monitoring committee do? Study how the situation is, because Barça had made a written request, but the license had already been denied. That’s it...

“We have filed an appeal with the CSD. We have requested a precautionary measure to have Olmo deregistered... A precautionary measure to annul the previous precautionary measure.”

It’s still not clear what will happen next in the registration saga. Barca are still waiting for a final decision from the CSD which will be made by April 7 at the latest.
