👀There’s a good chance Nkunku and Felix won’t be here by next week.💭

With no reinforcements brought in ? So if Jackson gets injured, who will we be relying on? Guiu?

I can just see a scenario where we go for a last minute loan move for Rashford.

Both Felix & Nkunku are quite clearly players that need to be playing constantly to show their levels. Coming in for 5 minutes here or 10 minutes there or not even playing at all for multiple matches in a row is never going to lend itself to these guys showing anything. They’ve both gotten fucked over, really.

But honestly, I can’t even put complete blame on Maresca. He quite rightly thinks that Palmer should always be on the pitch in the PL and he occupies that same area that Christo & Felix like to. Sticking either of them out on the wing makes them ineffective and despite not being in great form we have plenty of natural wingers. So they’re kind of just unlucky that our best and most important player is a #10 and without him on the pitch we ain’t scoring many goals. So where does that leave Felix and Nkunku? Not playing as we see.

As much as I really, really wanted him back and as brilliant as I think he is as a footballer it was clearly a mistake to bring Felix back. I could still imagine a scenario where he could thrive here but it would require Maresca to drop one of his favorites Madueke and play Palmer out on the right which he did to great effect last season. I think Felix in the 10, Palmer on the right, and Neto or Sancho on the left would be amazing but we haven’t even seen Enzo try it.

As for Nkunku, his situation is just so disappointing. When we signed him I genuinely thought he’d take us to a whole new level. But watching him these days he just comes across as completely disinterested, lazy, and as if he’d rather be anywhere else. He just jogs around half-heartedly. Which I really can’t even blame him for because he gets used in positions he doesn’t like and in the lesser competitions nobody cares about.

I can’t see how we don’t take MASSIVE losses on both of them considering the fees we paid.

The negotiation between Aston Villa and Chelsea for Axel Disasi is for loan move (with loan fee) plus salary coverage.

Disasi said yes to Aston Villa and he’s not considering other options despite Italian and PL clubs linked.

He wants Villa.

(Fabrizio Romano)

Let me guess. The directors still see Disasi as a long term project that will come into fruition.

Maybe they saw Silva playing for us at 35+ and said., hey wait a minute...

“Setting up a move for the summer” in regards to a #9 does us a whole lot of good when we’re desperate for one now. 🤦‍♂️

No club is going to sanction their elite striker being sold in the last couple of days of the window. So we can completely forget about any of those at this point. If we do bring in a #9 this week it’ll be some insane panic signing like Evan Ferguson on loan.

The club have fucked it up terribly.

Like I said in the Maresca thread. This has all the makings of the club ready to pull the rug out from another (4th) manager. A lot of planned outgoing, with no decent incomings in sight.

I'll still wait for the end of the window before confirming my opinion, but they clearly think the squad is good enough for whatever league position they had in mind for this season.

If the team keeps losing matches, it will be bye bye Maresca by the end of the season.

No wonder we deserve to be where we are and the owners can get away with it, with fans like you living in a parallel universe. Guy is getting 15-20 min a match to do something while others dumping shit on field for 90 minutes but Felix and Nkunku must make the limited minutes they get to count!

Bullshit, 20 minutes is plenty of time to show you can add something, do something…. If you can’t do anything in 20 minutes when you are giving the time to go and prove why u should start then u don’t deserve to start.

If the starters are doing nothing and getting to stay on the pitch till the 75th minute, would you be motivated to come on for a cameo and make a difference?

This isn't like Conte's time when he would sub players off and make an example out of them.   I remember a few times where he subbed players on, saw how poor they were and subbed them off again.

Seems more like, they can't get anyone to pay a permanent fee for him, so at least loan him out and get someone else to cover the wages.

Should bids of around £80m arrive for Aston Villa’s 21-year-old Colombian striker Jhon Duran and it suits all parties, a switch is certainly possible. (via @David_Ornstein)

A host of Europe's top clubs are keeping tabs on Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic following his impressive form on loan at Strasbourg.

Petrovic has excelled for Strasbourg since joining Chelsea's sister club on loan on just before the close of the summer transfer deadline.

The Serbia international has been instrumental in helping Strasbourg go unbeaten in Ligue 1 since November with a string of impressive displays.

His form has brought him onto the radar of a number of clubs who are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options with the 24-year-old due to return to Chelsea in the summer following his loan spell in France.

😡Haha and we have to put up with that bottle of Rob Sanchez every week thanks to Ben Roberts!!!🤮🤢

Talks have been held with Chelsea over the potential cancellation of the injured Armando Broja’s season-long loan, but so far no agreement has been found.

One possible solution would involve Everton taking somebody else from Chelsea in exchange, with midfielders Carney Chukwuemeka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and left-back Ben Chilwell three potential players of interest.

An attempt to acquire Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is still being considered for the summer, but Chelsea are monitoring several other forwards too.

One player Chelsea have ruled out, despite reports to the contrary, is Juventus front man Dusan Vlahovic.
