If a player is doing well on loan and settled, why not let him complete the season and come back fresh for pre-season?    I don't remember us having to recall Courtois or Christensen when they were on development loans.

Would make more sense to cancel Ugo's loan at Southampton, considering they are likely to be relegated with or without him.

Its difficult though because we risk running players into the ground in MF due to constant injuries to Lavia especially.

And those situations were different. We didn’t recall Courtois because we had Cech who was always available, same with Christensen as we had Azpi, Cahill, Luiz & Terry who were always available. Even Ake was recalled for 6 month with Conte.

If Ugo is better than Santos ok recall him. But he is probably isn’t. But yeah whoever’s better and the managers preference, recall them as their will be a lot of minutes given the likely sales of KDH & Casadei on top of Lavia’s injuries. Not to mention we cannot afford to run Caicedo into the ground if Lavia is going to be out every 3rd game. Maresca is almost doing this to Cole as well basically because he doesn’t trust Nkunku or Felix. It will bite us on the arse.

‼️ Chelsea confirmed the request for Casadei: €25m or high resale % with a lower figure.

▪️Torino offered just over €10m and a high resale %, but it's not enough;
▪️Feyenoord withdrew from the race, considering the price too high;
▪️Lazio can't increase the bid to date.

Rather him than Garnacho. But yeah, silly money.

again it is 2 different positions

Tyler Dibling is a left footed RWer

Garnacho is a right-footed LWer

A Renato Veiga transfer is currently off the table [at Dortmund].

Chelsea's Carney Chukwuemeka was Nuri Sahin's preferred number eight. After the coach's dismissal, the topic is off the table for now.

Had De Gea ever been Brighton player? There goes the answer.

Plus, buying actually decent, developed players didn't fit the club policy, even though it seems like a reasonable move regarding few positions and that I can somewhat understand, repeating Thiago Silva case any time soon seem mathematically unlikely.

I know. However, the club has to realise this "project" won't be fruitful in the long run if they actually want us to start winning things again.

That Alan Hansen quote, "Can't win anything with kids," is still relevant for the most part today. You need some experienced heads to help others when times are tough during games or if we ever reach cup finals. Add to that, James' is anything but captain material.

I wouldn't say the players you mentioned were in a similar position to Ugo, as they were multiple year loan deals, which made more sense to keep them where they were. Also, AC's loan deal seemingly didn't include a recall clause anyway -Andreas Christensen to reject Chelsea recall? - Sports Mole

Before Juric took over, I would have said recall Ugo ASAP because he wasn't getting game time regularly. That has since changed with new management and would probably do him good to remain despite their impending relegation (arguably their best player V Forest).

If we don't bring in another CM or ST this window which leads to us not qualifying for Champions League, if as a result at least one of the co-directors aren't sacked then I'm officially done with Clearlake.

I don’t buy the folk wanting us to sign Diblibg but not Garnacho. Like Dibling has played like 30-35 games his whole career for club & country.

I mean I think that would be so stupid it would be incredible, even for this club. Garnacho is obviously a much much better player and more what we need given he is more someone who plays off the left, particularly given the whole Mudryk situation/ban.

If Garnacho wasn’t a United player as well folk wouldn’t be as worried, I think the idea of us giving them £40-60m for a player is worse than the fact its Garnacho. I mean look at the outrage over the Mainoo links…. which again, incredible.

I mean ideally we would go out and get someone aged 24-27 who plays that left wing position instead but cannot see it.

Manchester United are insisting on €70m for Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea are considering an “opportunity” in midfield, it won’t be a superstar name, but they’re considering adding another midfielder. (@FabrizioRomano)

£50m insane misuse of funds for him, he's not worth any more than Madueke for sure, absolute max is £35m (slightly more than Madueke but ok inflation is real) and wages max 60k

In the right conditions of course we could add him to the squad but for 50 fucking million you can buy two very good players with good scouting. Cole Palmer was 40!

I just feel like Garnacho would be a left sided Madueke. A winger who is clearly talented but is the kind of a “head down and run” player which is what frustrates the fuck out of me about Noni. There isn’t really a sophistication to his game from what I see. You can say he’s only 20 and can get much better but as of right now he doesn’t look close to a £60m player.

Noni and Garnacho are nothing alike, noni will run down the wing just to cut in side, and normally ends up being tackled in the process, Garnacho is a winger we don’t have, some one who’s willing to run at players and take them on he’s very very direct. Noni is greedy and sulks like a little bitch! If anything he’s closer to what Neto is. Also we paid a lot of money for non proven young players, 60m isn’t that much for a proven premier league young player than you can argue had being one of uniteds best players over the last couple of years,

Huh? Being super direct and aggressive and trying to take defenders on is EXACTLY what Noni does. That’s literally his whole game. But then he gets near the box and does fuck all 90% of the time.
