The Sun? C'mon, United finds Cucurella essential to their freaking Carobao Cup campaign? Their own academy will do just fine. Pizy 19,280
Well, unless the club pulls off some madness tomorrow it seems like Poch will have the same unwanted problem that Potter had with a bloated squad. Players having to be left completely out of the match day squads, players having to train in different groups etc. Chalobah picking up that injury really fucked us. He was certain to go and for a sizable fee otherwise.

I think you mean he asked for a release clause in his contract and Brighton rejected that idea as they want to milk all their assets just like Caicedo. 2 hours ago, bluesman2610 said: Our fans are way to fickle there is definitely a player in Mudryk we saw it in preseason. He’s short on confidence He's not short on confidence, its just people expect immediate impact when you spend 60+ million on a player. There were better options out there for the price we ended up paying for Mudryk. If he was signed for 30-35 million like Badiashile, there wouldn't be so much noise around him but unfortunately we overpaid and he's nowhere near a 70 million player (probably won't be for 2-3 more seasons). Report: Bayern Munich STILL in talks with Chelsea for defender Trevoh Chalobah? https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2023/9/1/23854076/report-bayern-munich-transfer-talks-Chelsea-fc-trevoh-chalobah-loan-benjamin-pavard-palhinha-fulham Amid earlier reports that Bayern Munich has turned their focus at center-back to Southampton defender and Germany international Armel Bella-Kotchap comes news that the Bavarians are still talking to — and being rebuffed by — Chelsea FC for Trevoh Chalobah. The 24-year-old Englishman shared time at Stamford Bridge with current Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel, and it appears that Bayern is not ready to give up on the reunion project just yet. Per Daily Telegraph football news correspondent Matthew Law, via @iMiaSanMia: Chelsea and Bayern are still talking over Trevoh Chalobah. Neither position has changed yet with Chelsea wanting a sale and Bayern a loan [@Matt_Law_DT] As confirmed by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea have rejected new approach from Bayern for Trevoh Chalobah as it was again on loan deal. ⛔️ #CFC Conversations continue in order to find a way, nothing sealed or agreed at this stage. The sticking point appears to be that Bayern’s impending heavy investment in midfield — a €65m offer reportedly on the table for Fulham’s João Palhinha — is leaving no room to spare for a heavy investment at center-back. It is an interesting prioritization by the Bavarians, who have clearly placed Tuchel’s preference for a defensive profile in central midfield over their need to replace departing right-back/center-back Benjamin Pavard. How much does Chelsea want? According to Sport Bild, €40-50m. As captured by @iMiaSanMia: Chelsea want €40-50m for Trevoh Chalobah. Bayern are unwilling to pay that, especially with the money they’re set to spend on Palhinha. Bayern only want a loan. Deal unlikely at the moment, but talks continue towards the final hours of the window [@altobelli13, @cfbayern] If this deal falls through, Bayern will have to act fast to replace Pavard at all. Cucurella I'm OK with him staying because at least he is backup in 4atb. Clearly Poch is not planning to use Maatsen there. In fact, Maatsen could be sacrificed tomorrow because these deals collapsed and he has 10 months on contract. Its only Chalobah Humphreys and Sarr who are extras. None seem to be the kind of characters to kick up a fuss. Chalobah to Bayern is still on so hopefully he goes. And Sarr is talking to Fulham, Forest. In Sarr's case, it would help to get him off the books, saves us 100k a week in wages. One of Humphreys/Chalobah are probably fine to stay as we'll need backup at CB throughout the season
ZAPHOD2319 4,949
I think the current tally is 46 players out and 17 players in this window. The recruiting and player sales department are earning their money this month. Fernando

Pizy 19,280
Good thing about Palmer is that he should be all ready to go right away having played for City multiple times. Won’t need a long fitness buildup like Lavia. Very, very interested to see which position Poch deploys him in. Left, right, #10?

I think poch will interchange him with left and right wing with sterling, or could play as a 10 behind Jackson when mudryks fit to have Jackson Mudryk. Palmer. Sterling Palmer Jackson sterling/noni Jackson Mudryk. Nkunku. Palmer Nukunk. Jackson. Palmer So many options with this player. Special Juan 28,763
He's flexible that is the good thing with Palmer, allows Poch to be able to swap the formation as he would of with Nkunku. Feel like we will see him as the 10 pretty soon and the good thing is he's out on the training field immediately and in the squad for tomorrow
