It would be fantastic to have two starting quality players at RB. At any position in fact. The ability for the manager to rotate as he sees fit is an advantage Man City have been clever enough create for themselves. If we're on the way to duplicating that then all hail the new regime.

Exactly. I’ve seen supporters from rival clubs asking why we’re signing so many quality players in positions we’re already well stocked in and I just point to Man City. For years now City have had essentially 2 starting XI quality squads. With the exception of De Bruyne, Pep has been able to rotate just about any player in his XI without any real drop in quality.

This is what we’re trying to have at Chelsea and it’s what many of us have been begging for for ages. So that we’re never forced to watch our entire season collapse when we get 1 or 2 key injuries.

Ironically, Lamptey is being linked with going to Lyon as possible replacement for Gusto if he comes to us. Ironic as Lamptey is a player who came through our academy and had many fans questioning why we let him go as he was a real livewire when he burst on to scene for Brighton. This season, I think he has managed 1 league start which is really strange. Seemed to have fallen out of favour under Potter and now Zerbi too. Seems the injuries he picked up before have set him back as Brighton prefer playing a CM at RB instead of him.

Enzo’s not happening. Let’s just put that out of our heads for this month. Too late in the window, too important to Benfica’s season.

We now pray that we’re still at the front of the queue in the summer and he’s by far our #1 target. We will need to roll out the red carpet and make him feel like he’ll be the centerpiece of the new Chelsea project in order for him to choose us over the many other suitors he’ll have.

There will be a lot of competition. It would not be a bad idea to complete the deal this window, including the long contract while the FFP calculation still over the entire length of the contract and then loan him back to finish the season. It is getting too late for them to find a replacement.

Would be funny if we pay the release clause deadline day 🤣🤣

How much do you want to bet that the chief complainant and whiner to UEFA was Arsenal, btw? They were 100% crying to the authorities after two of their chief targets Mudryk and Félix ended up here.

The list of whingey cunts is simple

its the original 7 twats who pushed FFP ages ago so they could remain on top

Manure

Pool

Barca

Real Madrid

Bayern

Juve

Arse

probably joined now by Spuds, Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Inter Millan, Napoli, and likely AC Milan (so utterly ironic as the Juve Agnelli mafia's HATE for Berlusconi's billions was what originally kicked off FFP, and that same Agnelli mafia has now partially destroyed Juve)

a baker's dozen of gits

all in against:

1    Manchester City    England Premier League    €1.12bn (United Arab Emirates' hundred of billions)
2    Chelsea FC   England Premier League    €1.02bn (£70 plus billion in backing)
5    Paris Saint-Germain    France Ligue 1    €894.55m (Qatari hundreds of billions)
15    RB Leipzig    Germany Bundesliga    €493.30m (Red Bull's tens of billions, Bayern and Dortmund HATE RB)
19    Newcastle United    England Premier League    €442.90m (Saudi trillion plus)

and whoever the 2nd richest royals (the Kuwaitis, only trailing the Saudis) chose to buy (ironically that may be Pool or Manure) if they ever get into football ownership (shocked they have not yet done so yet)

once the Kuwaitis dive in, that leaves only one absolute monarchy left who has tens of billions:

The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah (worth around 50 to 60 billion)

(the Omanis are too poor as are the African Eswatinis)

finally

private billionaires worth over 30 billion usd (down to only 7 over 100 Billion usd, only TWO are now worth over £100 bn, and Musk is dropping like a rock, and only 16 are worth 50 billion plus quid now, there has been a massive contraction over the past year)

Bernard Arnault $212.1 B (£171.6 B)

Jim Walton $60.6 B
Charles Koch $60.1 B
Julia Koch & family $60.1 B
Rob Walton $59.4 B
Alice Walton $58.4 B

Roman's all time net worth high in inflation adjusted US dollars was $55.5 BILLION

David Thomson & family $53.5 B
Michael Dell $52.7 B
Mark Zuckerberg $51.2 B
Zhang Yiming $49.5 B
Phil Knight & family $47.9 B
Ma Huateng $41.5 B

Hopefully Everton can drive up the price Roma are willing to pay.

Roma want to buy him or the typical loan with no option?

Doubt the club will ever consider the latter for any of our players with the amount of outgoings we need.

I could not see us accepting a loan when there are serious buyers available. But.... you never know.
