Barcelona has rejected Chelsea's first offer of €14m for Aubameyang. Barca have told Chelsea they will only accept a fee over €20m. Chelsea also willing to pay Aubameyang double of what he earns in Spain.

they can FOAD

why the fuck should we cough up near on £20m or so for a 33yo player they got on a free half a year ago!?

plus they desperately need his salary off the books

Fuck barca (@fuckbarca123) / Twitter

I really don’t know how to feel about Auba.

I know that a Barca 'wear the shirt for 4 months' tax of closing in on 20m just in a t-fee (plus double his Barca salary) is 'kiss my scrawny brown arse' territory

the bloke is 33yo ffs and ARSENAL dumped him

Yeah, every warning sign is flashing with this potential deal. But then when I try to justify it to myself I think about how Tuchel worked with him before and had a great relationship with him. And also feel like we’d be in serious trouble if we’re relying on Havertz up top all season with only Broja as our only actual striker in the squad.

For the reported £20m price it just feels really ill advised. If we were getting him for a tiny fee (like sub £10m) and on a 1 year deal + option for a further year I’d say it’s worth a punt. But £20m plus a huge salary? Hell no.

What’s the deal with that gigantic dude from Germany that we were linked with a while ago? Can we not try for him?

What about FDJ 😓

FDJ (or any midfielder) was always going to be a bonus signing. As Tuchel said last weekend, it’s not a priority area. CB and striker quite rightly are.

The jury is still out on who's making the all-important calls. If Ronaldo joins, it will be telling.

How could you think the jury is still out? It’s without a doubt Tuchel making all the first team signings , why would we be pushing for a 33 year old washed up striker who Tuchel is very fond of?

Well Kante&Kova are injury prone, Jarginho last season didnt have power to play all matches. I just hope we would utilise Conor more but it is unlikely. If we sign FDJ, Conor should leave on loan to play. But for me, Rice shpuld be priority even wait one year.

So you agree that a 33 year old ST should be a bigger priority over a CM whos best years are still ahead of him?

More evidence Tuchel is wrong manager to lead us, he is too much of a result oriented manager rather than team builder like Klopp and Pep.

This is the most ridiculous statement in the history of ridiculous statements

I'm not interested in listening to countless rumours about the ins and outs.

If we did end up signing Auba, that would be case closed on the matter.

I just said a striker. Don’t specifically mean Auba. Tuchel and the club probably think a striker is MORE of a priority than a midfielder. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t also want De Jong. Just that it may come down to the last minute after we’ve done more pressing business.
