Brands has decision to make amid report on 20 y/o who can be Everton's next Zouma

https://www.footballfancast.com/premier-league/everton/marcel-brands-ancelotti-salisu-transfer-target-january

According to Spanish media outlet Pucela Fichajes, Southampton could be preparing a €10m (£8.5m) bid for Real Valladolid centre-back Mohammed Salisu, which could leave potential fellow suitors Everton with a decision to make.

Well, Deportes Diario De Valladolid reported in November that the Toffees were among the Premier League clubs keen on the 20-year-old, who is said to have a release clause set at €12m (£10.2m).

However, it now appears that their top flight rivals Saints may make the first move for the Ghanaian, albeit below the fee the La Liga outfit want for the central defender.

Pucela Fichajes also report that any such bid could fling other clubs into action with Everton mentioned, and although the player is keen to remain with Valladolid until the summer, the interest from Southampton – or another club – could accelerate his exit.

Can be Everton’s next Zouma

It is no secret that the Toffees have a real lack of depth in the centre-back position this season, with Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate their only senior options.

Take that as a no

Everything at Man City is pretty much geared towards what Guardiola wants, unless of course their board deem the signing is too expensive. Even then, I'm sure Guardiola has his shortlist of wanted players but so far, his only competent defenders in the side are Walker and Laporte.

I very much doubt every defender he's signed has been first choice or solely his doing. Laporte & Mendy are the only two that I deem otherwise.

Weren't City in for Maguire & van Dijk as well?

Pretty sure Stones was Guardiola's doing.

Maguire and Van Dijk were targeted but were put off by their price tag.

Speaking of John Stones, wtf happened to him!? He was talked up as the next big thing and I know he's been injured, but I feel like I haven't heard his name mentioned in like a year.

Anyways, it's kind of weird that there aren't strong transfer links for any of the top clubs in the PL. I don't see all the outlets and journalists buzzing with much speculation at all. Just the odd loose link. All of City, Arse, United, Spuds, and ourselves have some glaring holes that need addressed. Usually this is silly season but it feels like nothing is happening.

Because buying top quality players in January isn't easy?

If Pep was in for Maguire he truly is a shit transfer evaluator

VVD was only going to go to Victimpool from the beginning

same as Alisson THE YEAR HE CAME

if we had had an ounce of sense, we would have sold Cuntois to RM in 2017 (we would have gotten 70-80m or so) and bought Alisson from Roma (he was Wojciech Szczęsny's deputy the year before, after he came from Internacional in Brasil) then, NOT the next year

we could have had him for only 20 to 30m then

he was not yet that well known

my Porto Allegre mates and some of my mum's Bajan relatives who live in Florianópolis now (they are Grêmio fans, so know Inter like the back of their hands) said he was the real deal

Could Chelsea use Michy Batshuayi as makeweight in Zaha deal?

https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/club-news/could-chelsea-use-michy-batshuayi-as-makeweight-in-zaha-deal/

Chelsea have been linked with Wilfried Zaha for what seems like months now and it now seems there is a new way the Blues could get the deal done.

Michy Batshuayi spent the second half of last season on loan with the Eagles and does not appear to be in Frank Lampard’s plans at Chelsea. The Belgian has only appeared off the bench for the Blues in the league this season and is not trusted to lead the line when Tammy Abraham is unavailable.

He is just 26-years-old and may look for a move to a club that can revitalize his career. According to The Daily Express, Crystal Palace would be interested in taking Batshuayi back to Selhurst Park, which opens the door for some sort of swap deal.

Chelsea would likely still have to pay a fee to secure the Ivorian’s services, but by giving them the Belgian, they may take a chunk off the astonishing £80 million price tag set by those at Crystal Palace.

Obviously, but that doesn't usually stop the English journalists from linking the big clubs with everyone under the sun. For instance, I haven't seen José's Spuds or the injury ravaged Arsenal linked with anyone and we know for a fact they need players.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is not ready to activate Nathan Ake’s buy-back clause.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard not keen to commit to activating their £40 million buy-back option for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake in January. The Blues sold the 24-year-old to the Cherries back in 2017 for around half that fee, and have the chance to bring him back to Stamford Bridge next month.

However, Lampard remains confident in his current defensive cohort after a mixed start to his first season as a Premier League boss, in particular Fikayo Tomori. Despite that, there are two things that are directly influencing the ex-England midfielder’s plans, which are the fitness of Antonio Rudiger and the desire of Andreas Christensen to fight for his spot.

The Athletic report that Lampard is happy with his options should they all remain fit and happy, but the fitness of the German defender remains a worry.

Christensen has struggled to force his way into first-team plans so far this season, but Lampard is hoping that he doesn’t lose faith and fights for his place.

Spurs don't have any money to spend in January - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/20/jose-mourinho-tottenham-told-no-money-transfers-january - or even if they do, they don't have a lot.

Arsenal have been linked with some players but nothing major. They're gonna find it hard to attract top players anyway.

It is difficult to tell if The Sun is speculating the contract in January for Sancho with a loan back like the Pulisic deal, or if they are saying that scenario is being discussed by both teams?
