Sancho would solve many problems, but we also lack in creativity. The only constant creative player we have is Kovacic. Jorgi is also creative, but not as constantly than Kova. Mount offers zero creativity at this point of his career. I would prefer more of a Bernardo Silva type of winger at Chelsea, who would at least give more world class passes. Tammy has scored many goals this season without having a really world class assist king like Man City have. City have KDB, Bernardo and David Silva, Gündogan etc. . We only have Kova and Kova has to do way more than just creating. Sometimes I think that Kova does everything on the pitch

What's the latest from the German media on Sancho? Do they think he's gonna be sold in January? Which club are the favorites to sign him?

You said Leipzig won't sell Werner in January because they are in the title race. I doubt Dortmund will sell Sancho next month either when they are also in the title race, unless someone pays an obscene amount of money for him.

If we're talking about the transfer fee and wages, then sure, Sancho is replacing Hazard but if we're talking about the squad building, positions etc, then it becomes less clear cut.

Situation with Werner is a little different to Sancho in that Werner is not agitating for a move and he hasn't fallen out with his manager/club. That is why I think Sancho is a possibility and Werner is not.

I agree, but at the same time, we need to be careful about going for players that are not of the right quality.  For me, the young boys coming in have proven we do not need to buy £30-£40m players like Drinky or Baka as they have been able to step in and perform. What we need instead is 4-5 players of top quality to replace they likes of Pedro, Barkley, Giroud, Bats, one of the LB's and one of the CB's etc. This does not mean £100m+ players in every position, Werner for instance can be had for less and so can Dybala (if Juve still want him gone like in the Summer - he is a much better player than Zaha.)  However, players like Sancho come along rarely and sometimes you need to bite the bullet and pony up like Liverpool did with VvD.

I don't consider Kova that much as creative player. But I agree we lack creativity. Maybe that explains Isco rumours (plus we need more experience upfront). RLC is always injured, Barkley always clubbing... Replacing Willian, Pedro and Barkley with Sancho and Isco is not a bad idea. Isco could play in many positions. But of course LB, RW, CB and striker should be priority.

Personally I am not sold on Isco one bit. He reminds me of that type of player who is happy just to be at a big club and does not mind being on the bench because he is at said club. Personally, I agree that Pedro, Barkley, Giroud need replacing and that RLC's injuries are an issue. However, I want to see us target one AM and one CM rather than two AM's as any CF we buy should be in the Werner/Dembele mould and thus be able to play out wide if need also.

To be honest, every day you read something different. Sometimes United, the last few days it was Liverpool, now I read something about Chelsea. About already leaving in Winter, there was an article yesterday where it said that neither the players nor the upper hierarchy of BVB feel that he wants to leave in winter. So even that it is not clear. If Sancho makes more mistakes like coming too late again, his actions may speak louder than words...

But the Sancho situation at Dortmund is hardly at breaking point, is it?

But Van Dijk cost less than 100 million. Sancho has been playing first team for only 18 months and although he has done well overall, I'm not sure if that is enough to justify the 100 million+ transfer fee.

No, maybe not breaking point but I think he is trying to work his way out.

Yeah, I agree £100m is slightly crazy. However, people talk about £70m on Chilwell, which is also crazy, as a good deal.

Personally, I would rather both Werner and Dybala over Sancho but I just get a feeling that he is going to end up here.

No, but £70m on a FB is kind of eqivilent to a £100m AM when you consider the positions and market. Further, I woud argue a £72m keeper is a bigger than £100m for a AM. £72m on a GK should really be getting you the Mbappe of GK's.

Equally, if we're gonna spend more than 100 million on attacking player, it should be on proven quality or someone in their peak rather than for potential.

Where would Isco even play, made sense before Pulisic and Mount but now seems like a waste of money.

Ahead of Mount in the 10 role. 100%. Dont think he will come here though, on his day an excellent player but Zidane said he counts on him. As mentioned he seems to be content at Madrid too.

As I have said, I'd rather Dybala as he was going for £65m this Summer and Werner but at the same time I see the club buying Sancho. Further, there is the risk with Sancho in that if he improves further he will start being talked about at £150m and he is likely to move soon. No doubt he is a risk but I would argue that Kepa was a much bigger risk as the money we spent on him should have got us a top 5 GK at least, not a kid with 54 league games under his belt.

Still doesn't mean spending over 100 million on a 19-year-old with just 18 months of first team football is wise. Also let's face it, spending 50-100 million on a player is essentially the new 30-50 million from a decade ago. The price might be too high and there will be risky businesses (e.g. Morata) but it's the way the market works these days. But spending 100 million+ is a completely different ball game altogether. If you're gonna spend that much on someone, it better be for someone who will provide guarantee for the investment and not for potential which may or may not go wrong. If the club have really done their homework, we could probably sign someone lesser perhaps but could do an effective job, what Lampard wants in the team etc for say 1/3 of the price for Sancho and use the balance to bolster the squad in other areas. We don't have unlimited transfer budget like some other clubs and it's making sure we improve the squad for real this time through wise spending, not splashing stupid money on one player and then forced to buy duds again to fill other gaps!

I don't want him any more for the price that Crystal Palace will demand.

If you get him for 30 million or so then I will take it, but no way they will want that.

Zaha for 30 million would be a good deal. Given both Willian and Pedro leave in the summer. Zaha should know he has a lot of competition here.

Still need a top quality RW

Zaha for 30 M is just never going to happen.
