I'm going to miss this due to an under 15's match and to be honest I can't actually say I am that bothered.

I can't see anyway we can win this game what so ever.

Yeeee you won't miss much lol. If you've seen our last few games..you know what to expect

A positive result is far more important than a good, strong performance today. We need to keep picking up points and stay within the pack.

We've shown against the likes of Man Utd, Spurs and Sevilla that we can sit in deep and defend properly. Unlike those teams though, City will play a more open, expansive game and there will be spaces to exploit on the counter.

I think this is the game to play Werner as a centre forward, flanked by Pulisic and either CHO or Ziyech depending on his fitness.

It might not be pretty but if we do it right this City team can be 'got at' and we do have attacking players and pace that can hurt them.

Am probably gonna end up jinxing it this fucking time but christ, do people not get tired about saying that about Azpi all the time? Every time, there's 'Azpi will struggle against X, Y, Z' bla bla bla but every time, he dealt with whatever threat well enough that there's no problem from his side.

teams are targeting it with some success though. FA Cup final for instance

Err...

Good chance this might be called off as this seems similar to the situation of Fulham and Burnley where Fulham were still giving positive cases after the Spurs postponement.

Who exactly?

What does that have to do with Azpi specifically? We were just dumb to play a stupid high line with little pressing upfront against that Arsenal frontline to begin with.

Arsenal repeatedly played balls over the top on Azpilicueta's side in that game. One of them resulted in a pen.

That's gotta do more with our defensive line on that day. We tried to play a high one and didn't press well, always bound to fail. If we had played a deeper line, we wouldn't have any problem no?

And that has nothing to do with the fact that Azpi struggled with the pace, big time. He did struggle, full stop. You asked for an instance, you got it.

Yes but that's down to the system on that day. Imagine knowing your team have slow defenders and yet you ask them to play a high line.

If Lampard suddenly ask the team to play a high line today against City with Silva in the back 4 and he struggles with balls over the top, who are you gonna blame? Silva for having no pace or Lampard for setting us up to fail knowing there are slow defenders in the backline?

Is Silva even slow? Seems fast to me. Obviously not as fast as Zouma, but Silva still looks fast.
