It depends. Although he actually did build a good, entertaining side at Bolton, he's essentially another Sean Dyche or Tony Pulis. Not sure if the club want Gallagher to be playing that kind of football.

Conor Gallagher 'to be handed opportunity to earn a first-team place at Chelsea next season' when his loan spell at Premier League strugglers West Brom comes to an end

Not sure he is ready but maybe he accepts that 4th spot in double pivot.

Gilmour will go on loan and I don't see us linked with any midfielders. Tuchel is perfectly happy with Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic. So it's either Conor or Mount gets moved deeper but then again not sure he play that role against good opposition.

Tuchel on Gallagher...

https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/news/thomas-tuchel-Chelsea-press-conference-20309382

"He has fought his way through as a loan player. He never stops improving, is a regular for West Brom. I want him completely focused on that. When is the moment for us to decide on his future, we will decide. But that's not now."

Conor Gallagher wins West Bromwich Albion Young Player of the Season award

https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2021/5/28/22457804/conor-gallagher-wins-west-bromwich-albion-young-player-of-the-season-award

West Bromwich Albion v West Ham United - Premier League

Conor Gallagher had a rather impressive loan stint with West Bromwich Albion, with the 21-year-old going on to make 32 appearances for the Baggies across all competitions. While he was unable to help his side retain their place in the Premier League, the Chelsea loanee was one of their most vital players — under both coaches, Slaven Bilić and Sam Allardyce — and he has shown tremendous growth over the past year.

West Brom decided to recognize Gallagher’s contributions by awarding him with their Young Player of the Season award. Congrats, Conor! Notable past winners of this award include the likes of Sam Field, Rekeem Harper and Dara O’Shea. Gallagher himself had won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year in 2019.

Gallagher, who has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists this season, is expected to be a part of Chelsea’s preseason for next season and is one of the frontrunners to be part of next generation of youngsters who should be integration into the first-team.

Happy for him to go to a mid tier team, not sure what the obsession is with sending our youngsters to relegation teams.

Highly rate him from what I’ve seen, but not enough to warrant starts, same as Billy, who seems to have regressed slightly, loans to good solid teams required.

For the double pivot we gonna be hard pressed to sign anyone whose more established to come to us knowing there's Kante,Jorginho and Kovavic ahead of them.which leaves a youngster trying to establish themselves.which Conor fits the bill.could always have someone like Ampadu who can also cover that spot incase, somebody who can cover multiple positions even though I think Ethan focusing on one position now might better his career than the current role of at best becoming this generations Clayton Blackmore.
