I felt that last season but that feeling is even more prominent now as Lampard is really using the fullbacks overlaping as a key go to plan going forward. Looks like he's going to fall over every time he gets the ball. I thought Alonso was his usual poor self and thought Bakayoko grew a bit as the half went on. Not sure I like where Pulisic has been playing. He's basically been a second striker. We need him to play wide and use his pace and skill to beat defenders. Basically what CHO does. Off the ball, our press is the only real highlight of the performance. On the ball, still very poor, which is mainly down to personal. Relied on individual brilliance for the goals. Hutcho 8,443 Posted July 28, 2019 Share Posted July 28, 2019 Pretty good from the mostly B team.Drinkwater did alright tbh and will be ok as one of the back up DM's.Bakayoko was shocking, at fault for the goal very sloppy etc.Tomori defensively made some errors which could have been punished.But not too bad. Bakayoko showing he can deliver a long pass.....to Reading or to nobody. Pulisic better start showing something. That was a big fat meh half for him. Pulisic, for whatever reason is better on the right IMHO I have seen him play for years now, he seems far more creative on the right side, but Lamps was really looking at Kenedy there as we may need to keep him for a 4th winger until CHO recovers (NOT sure on that) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
