I couldnt agree more. I think Drogba is an obvious top5 though.

I think in a few years, Drogba might not even be considered top-5. He had two fantastic years at Chelsea and was named Chelsea Player of the Year only once. Some of this is that Roman kept trying to bring in new strikers to displace Drogba so his games went up and down, but in Drogba's 8 years at Chelsea, he had a number of poor seasons. Drogba is undoubtedly a Chelsea legend and one of our greats, but I think his incredible form in the CL last year meant he left on a high that is still influencing people.

I think the reason why people rate Drogba so highly is because he won 12 trophies at this club and wasn't just 'part of the team' for those trophy wins he was a leader and one of our main men in every single one of those trophy wins, Drogba has played for this club in a period where we have had so many top class players in the team and throughout his whole time here he has showed that no matter how many top class players we bring in Drogba was always 'the man' the great Peter Osgood didn't have to deal with that did he? or play under the pressures that Drogba had to when competing for every major trophy, and Drogba always produced when it really mattered.

So no people are not voting for him because of what he done in Munich its for what he fought so hard for to achieve at this club, and thats a sign of a great player someone who never had it all his own way, who had his ups and downs but always fought hard and battled to be successful, he carried the team in alot of huge games over the years and came out on top, whether you like it or not Drogba will always be one of the top 5 greatest Chelsea players of all time and its going to take a monumental effort for anyone to move him out of the top 5.

Anyone who thinks Drogba's not a legitimate candidate for this title is either delusional or trying to sound smart by naming every name from the older generations. It's true that recent players tend to get overrated by the fans, but what Drogba and the likes of Lamps and JT have achieved is unmatched by anyone in this club's history - winning multiple league titles, FA Cups and of course the European Cup. Are people trying to suggest that in 20 years Drogba will somehow be forgotten or under-appreciated? Hell, if, God forbid, we never win the Champions League again, he'll become a myth rather than a legend that he is right now. People have not forgotten Bobby Moore and they will never forget Drogba for the same reason - being the symbol of success that's never been had before. Remember, without his heroic performances against Valencia, Napoli, Barca and Bayern, we don't win the CL.

Now I have the greatest respect for Peter Osgood and other Chelsea greats whom I am sure can be considered the greatest Chelsea player of all time, but to laugh off Drogba's credentials and even making sarcastic remarks like "Moscow?" don't sit well with me.

That said, this list is a joke.

that looks a quite reasonable list ,,, Chopper is rated too high ,,,,he is a legend and an icon but not that good as a player

Makelele should be in the top 15 at least.

He was great, but didn't play enough games for us to be considered a top all-time player IMO. (4.5 seasons).

Also, here's why, to me, Lampard beats Drogba hands-down. It's difficult to compare people from different eras, but Lampard and Drogba played the same time.

Games-Lampard 572, Drogba-341

Goals-Lampard 189, Drogba-157

Assists-Lampard-120, Drogba-71

Chelsea player of year, Lampard-3, Drogba-1

PFA team of the year, Lampard 3-, Drogba-2

Just don't see how Drogba beats Lampard when Lampard was better and better for significantly longer for us.

Ballack and Mata are heavily misplaced, they don't belong in top 20. But what can you expect from a list which includes Torres.

Stats. Lampard was a great player, nobody is denying that but at no stage was he the main man in the team like Drigba was.

Not true. Lamps was our best player offensively and the star man in the periods 2003-2006 and 2007-2009. That can't be forgotten.
