Yes, the only truly world class, top two or 3 in their position in world Serie A players they dont have are Icardi and Kouilbaly. Maybe soon you could possible add Chiesa at LW (certainly top 10 in world already).

Genoa's Krzysztof Piatek Off to Best Serie A Debut in 70 Years

ROME (AP) Krzysztof Piatek is off to the best start for a Serie A debutante in nearly 70 years.

The 23-year-old Poland striker scored both of Genoa's goals in a 2-1 win over Frosinone on Sunday to raise his tally to eight in six matches.

The last player to achieve the feat was Karl Aage Hansen with Atalanta in 1949-50.

Overall this season, Piatek has scored 12 goals in all competitions - including his four-goal performance in the Italian Cup in August.

Piatek's performances have helped Genoa into sixth place. He had already scored twice before Frosinone pulled one back with a penalty from Camillo Ciano for its first goal of the season.

Piatek joined Genoa from Cracovia for a reported fee of 4 million euros ($4.6 million) in June. There are reports that Juventus is interested in signing him to a much bigger contract.

 

 

We REALLY have to look at him as the possible answer (not saying he is yet, but wow, he is fucking on fire,and is on a pretty shit team and STILL scoring like this)

I absolutely would straight swap Morata for him NOW, maybe even kick in £10m or so to grease the deal done. Morata's value is plummeting too, each week, so Genoa might tell us to fuck off.

I can tell you now that EVERY big team will go after him, ESPECIALLY Bayern, Juve, Barca, Real,and PSG.

He really does look the part of a classic striker though. Shit, if he is the real deal and we land him, we are so set for years at striker. Would be a huge relief.

The rumours are well under way linking this guy with all the top clubs, ive seen a few articles saying we are leading the chase. Feels like reporter click bait, guy has barely played in Serie A but i guess anybody is better than our current toothless options? Feels like this rumour is just beginning to pick up steam before january window

He reminds me a lot of Diego Costa in the way he keeps the whole defence busy. On top of that, his desire and instinct to score are impressive.

Next summer might be too late, if we want to buy for a reasonable fee an unproven but promising player we must move quickly = january.

Article from a month ago, shines a little light on him. I am still hesitant, nobody is that efficient over any reasonable level of time. If he keeps it up over the next 2 months I can imagine the noise will be deafening come January.

It is so hard to put a valuation on him atm. Genoa could demand anywhere between £20m and £80m, depending on how he continues to perform and who comes sniffing around (everyone!). It sucks we are in such dire straights striker wise. They will inflate the price so so much.

Genoa fired their coach today. This guy could really be on the move to a bigger club come January now. You'd think we would be in the pole position considering our absence of a striker and style of play. Seems to be a guy who thrives on smart movement and service while being extremely clinical(so far). In the current inflated market is 35-40m worth a gamble on a potentially deadly striker? you'd have to think yes, but gamble is the key word.
