I must be in the minority but I'm not at all fussed. This signing or lack thereof has me feeling indifferent... I don't see why there is all the hype but to be fair a lot of big clubs are chasing his signature. I think Barkley, if he increases his work rate under Sarri, will be an excellent fit for Sarri's Hamsik role

I'm with you on this one - while I'm not against the signing, I don't think we will go in to a bidding war for him.

He looks good, and would be an exciting addition to our midfield, but i'd rather see Barkley get the chance as well.

Indifferent is the correct word for me as well. If we sign him, i would be very excited. If we don't I wouldn't be brokenhearted. He looked great at WC and seems to have the right skill set/engine to fit in our midfield but if he doesn't come i know we will be able to find someone to fill that role.

Not long left of the window, things will start happening very quickly now.

The next few days are going to be either fun or totally gut wrenching.

Both him and Rugani have been our strongest links since end of season

More creation we have in midfield, more we can focus on getting goalscoring winger. It's rare that winger is creative AND good goalscorer. With Jorginho and Golovin, right-winger must be some goal-scoring machine, more like Bale-Salah-Sanchez-primePedro-Robben type of player than Hazard-Reus-Ribery type. Someone who attacks the space with great runs and know how to score, mainly.

I'd love to start hearing more talks of Martial coming here, but that seems to have died down completely since the WC started. Nothing mentioned in a while.

Exactly, Martial is player type we should aim at. We will lack gunpowder with midfield like this. Willian is the worst thing we could do to ourselves at that position.

Im excited by Golovin, Yes he's a technically gifted player who can play in a few position, but for me it's rare to see such a talent work so hard off the ball and one that has amazing stamina. It sounds crazy but he reminds me of a young Modric. We all know Roman is a big fan but also Sarri is as well, he will slot in so well next to Kante and Jorginho.

How reliable is this?

Chelsea and CSKA Moscow have reached an agreement yesterday for the transfer of Aleksandr Golovin. He will be in London soon for medical before signing a 5-year contract.
