Seems like Alonso has been dropped for Zappacosta. Not sure about Moses on the left tbh

He wasn't exactly great against against Utd either. I'd personally have preferred Drinkwater, but I guess Conte is going for the win.

I recall him being great against United just didn't have his shooting boots on.

Marcos Alonso not starting is a risk since he's our only real LWB but its understandable. He needs a rest. Our boards' left us really thin in that position

Honestly if Bakayoko's supposedly adept at charging forward, and got some sort of defensive prowess, surely he can be moulded into a left back who's no slower than Alonso? :drunk:

Solid first half. We looked far more dangerous going forward than they did. Hazard and Cesc looked great and Morata was brilliant holding it up and bringing the team in to play. Zappa and Moses both getting joy down the flanks.

They were good at keeping the ball for long periods but were so slow and plodding with it that it made it easy for us to stay compact and keep everything in front of us.

And Cahill has been poor as well but that's predictable. He's not a player for this level. All in all we've out Atletico'd Madrid them so far. We don't even look interested in the game

I feel like you love to complain just for the sake of it these days, mate. We played well. But for Oblak being a beast we might've scored a couple. We showed a lot more attacking intent than they did.

Not sure why again so many negative critics...we play well, defense is organised and when we retrieve the ball (we made several great tackles and intereceptions), we attack quickly. The ball flows from player to player and almost everytime we create something. We chase for every ball too.

Just because we let them play (and so war they only waste time passing around midfield), doesnt mean we are not interested. First half, we prepared excelently IMO. Frustrate them with strong defence and kill them on quick counters. Every time we go forward, we play realy well.

The only problem I see, we dont have quality finishers. Morata did well today, but missed that ball, same with Eden. Others are simply not good finishers. We need another player who can score, ie Pedro or maybe Willian who is in good form right now.

Oblak is awesome too.
