Pizarro on loan to Werder

Chelsea Football Club and Werder Bremen have agreed terms for the one year loan of Claudio Pizarro.

The Peruvian international signed for the club last summer from Bayern Munich, where he played for six seasons after joining from Werder.

For Chelsea, Claudio scored on his competitive debut at home to Birmingham City in the league, and went on to make 31 appearances during 2007/8, scoring two goals.

I'm quite happy with this to be honest. I didn't like Pizarro last season. I thought he was just yet another one of our striker flops over the years.
