Well, every game Vidic had in Serie A was pretty horrible. I'm not even sure if he played a full 90 minutes. Why on earth then, would they be comparing him to Vidic? It'd be beyond random for them to be comparing him to prime, Premier League Vidic - they'd sooner compare Maksimovic to a fellow Serie A player surely, if trying to say he's good.

So maybe this guy is terrible.

Really? Just curious, you've been bashing our board for lack of transfers and signing of mediocre players, why are you willing to settle for the worse player between these 2?

I would really like this signing tbh...if he can occasionally play the FB role as well, that would be great.

Ivanovic might be the weak link in defense, but tbh what our back four really needs is a player like prime, in-form Ivanovic.
