John Terry

So will this now still go to the F.A. ? Will they give their own opinion on things, and if they personally find him guilty, possibly give him a lengthy ban?

Or is this the end of it?

FA will look over everything and determine whether a ban is necessary. Don't see why he would get a ban though.

So all you chelsea fans that called him racist & turned your back on him. How you feeling now?

Never doubted JT's innocence for a second. He's not that kind of man.

I don't think anyone thinks him racist, just debating what if he is found guilty.

I would sue AF for damages, the man lost the captaincy before a major tournament because of him. I don't think Terry will though.

Because he'd lose. He'd have to prove conclusively that he didn't say anything racist which is impossible. The reason Terry won the case is that there was no conclusive evidence either way. He still could be in trouble with the FA because their burden of proof will be a lot lower. It might be hard for them now though once a court has already ruled in his favour. (I hope)

He absolutely would not lose.

I never called him racist and I am pleased he has fought his battle, there was a lack of evidence tbh but now at least we can focus on football matters solely. No need for the point scoring tbh, it was a serious matter and people were entitled to their opinions. However Ferdinand is very lucky to get away with what he had said because bringing in personal life matters is a huge lack of disrespect. People will still have their doubts over whether he said it or not but glad it is all over now anyway

Yes he would. You can sue someone for defamation only if what they are claiming is false. Since what Ferdinand claimed cannot be proven to be false, you cannot sue him and win. It's a he said/he said situation. The same lack of hard evidence that made it impossible to say one way or another what was said in a criminal case, would make it equally impossible in a civil case.
