Superblue 6,372
Even more of an issue with Ivanovic suspended - so fucking stupid!Cahill and David Luiz need wrapping in cotton wool. But providing both are going to be fit (and I don't see any reason why they can't - Luiz apparently nearly made tonight's game and Cahill played on for another few minutes), we still have a very good centre back pairing. Maybe they can come of age in the final, with a partnership next season Terry may struggle to dislodge. It'll be Ramires we miss the most in the final! This may be the beginning of the end for Terry. If he gets found guilty in the summer for racial abuse will the club stand by him again. I'm not so sure.

Bir_CFC 3,455
He thought he could get away with it, most times he probably would, but shouldn't be taking a risk like that. Anyways, he's missing the final now, that's punishment enough. zolayes and KonohasOrangeFlash
Jase 43,479
Had a very strange dream last night. Went to kill Sanchez by drowning him into the ocean while also torturing him in the process. Have no idea where that came from!
Fulham Broadway 17,312
What he has done in this CL campaign and since hes been captain, is instill a spirit in the team that is worth an extra man in itself.Fergusons Cup Winning Aberdeen squad always said that it was the 'spirit' that won them the title , even though they were mediocre players Blue Armour, LDN Blue and CHOULO19
LDN Blue 7,903
What's done is done, thank heavens it didn't cost us the match. His punishment (of missing the final) is enough, no need to strip him of captaincy and such. I was just as furious as everyone, but it'll be heartbreaking enough for him not to avenge the 2008 demons on May 19th. We should take solace that the squad can still retain spirit even when the embodiment of that isn't with them.I'm also glad he issued that apology. Milan 17,956
Well in all honesty I DO prefer Lampard lifting the trophy to Terry (IF we manage to win it). However to stop him from going to the pitch to celebrate is quite harsh. xPetrCechx
Kez 2,727
That's fucking harsh. Uefa are such cunts. Can't wait to see Lamps lift the trophy though.
LDN Blue 7,903
To be fair, he's been sent off for perceived violent conduct. I don't really have much sympathy. I forgive him and all, but seriously, he dug his own grave here and he has to live with with the consequences as harsh as they seem. francozola and BlueLion.
Kieran. 6,317
That's terrible. This has left a horrible taste in my mouth; paired with Ivanovic's reaction and Meireles begging to not be booked.

BlueLion. 21,491
I think because I'm still so pissed at what he did and emotions are still running high, I'm not 100% sure what I think about this.Of course its great for him to have the shot at redemption after Moscow, but then again if we lose, guess who's being blamed?Furthermore, part of me doesn't want him to lift it, but for Lampard and Drogba, who were our two Generals in the Nou Camp. manpe 10,861
we must first win it to lift it.. who gives a fuck who touches it first? if we win, I doubt anyone will care about such a petty thing. The main concern is that Lahm doesn't do it and that's what the whole focus should be about.
francozola 2,040
I don't think he should. It should be the captain and maybe the vice captain that actually PLAYED in the final who should lift it imo. JT should definitely be there to hold it up, but shouldn't lift itAnyway, let's win the damn thing first BlueLion.

He martialled our defence in the first leg, in the Benfica legs and especially in Naples. His leadership in the back never goes amiss when he's on the field and there have been many times this season where he's put himself on the line to ensure we work as hard as we can. Albeit he's undone a lot of that praise in this moment of madness which could be compared to Zidane's reckless headbutt in that final. But let's be grateful it didn't have the impact we feared it would've. No-one will know more than him how badly he's fucked up, so I believe he should lift the trophy with Frank and Didier. The three of them deserve to for their impact over this season.

As far as i'm concerned Turnbull can lift it as long as it's not Lahm. My ideal picture of this event would be Lamps and Terry raising it in tandem.
