With regards to the recent rumours linking Falcao with Monaco, been reported today that Monaco face a major tax issue as they don't pay sod all tax to the French nation due to their "Principality" status. It would seem that the French F.A. have told Monaco that if they don't pay French Taxes then they ain't playing in their League. Rumoured that it could cost Monaco Millions, therefore no bid for Falcao.

Yes, this is a rumour that has ben around for quite sometime. The fee that FFF are contesting is believed to be around 200mi euros...

£50 million for a 27 year old who hasn't played in the Champions League for 3 years is a massive risk.

Didn't Aguero have a similar time out of the CL when City got him and we could have done the same?

Instead we choose Torres who played in the CL recently.

This guy will definately finish up our chances, granted we provide him with chances.

I'm just kinda afraid that he would wait for the balls to put in the net but Hazard and Mata will keep the ball at their feet and then Falcao would be useless !

Falcao has NEVER lost a final he's taken part in!!! What a record!

Sounds like Drogba, turning up for the big games!

Ok, now I'm interested! :D

Looks more like it was Courtois who turned up :Goober:

I agree. I just don't agree that we need that if it costs £50 million. I'd much rather build a team with cheaper parts like a Rooney or Lewandowski.

Exactly my thoughts. Not to mention the fact that we might have to give Courtois away in order to get Falcao. That is unacceptable, in my opinion.

I want him only if it's convenient for the club's financial situation and if we keep Courtois.

His wages appear to be stopping him from coming here, shame as I think he's the best striker in the world right now

this seems to explain the possibilities of where he might move: http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1e8ncw/explaining_the_falcao_move_to_monaco

Enlightening read, thanks.

Thanks for that. I just came to this thread to yell at him being a mercenary only following money :D

Really sad that the played of his quality can't sign for a big EU club :(
