Unlike the other players they bought for no reason, I think another striker makes sense for them since Benzema is the only top world class striker they have.

You can say something about the young strikers from the academy but they aren't world class like Benzema.

Benzema isn't world class in my opinion. He misses far too many chances but in any case he's the kind of striker content with not being the main guy which is what Madrid need with the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Rodriguez playing alongside him.

He is average, his finishing is average, and his technical ability isn't anything outstanding. That's why Real Madrid have been linked with Falcao for so long now.

He's a solid striker, just not really good at anything.

Benzema is fortunate that there are other players (mostly Ronaldo) who take up most of the scoring responsibility. If Real were more reliant on him then they'd be screwed given how often he messes up good chances. I don't know about the statistics but from watching Madrid it's obvious he's extremely wasteful.

Am I the only one who doesn't want Falcao? We need a backup striker. Someone like Remy or Bony are ideal. Falcao won't play with Costa.

Our weakness is Oscar. He's just not up to it at the moment and I can see him fatiguing even more later on in the season.

Benzema signed a new contract earlier this month so I highly doubt he'll leave. Suppose he were to come here (for a hefty price, most likely) would you want him to start over Costa?

Feel like you don't watch Benzema enough (or don't appreciate his game). He's a selfless CF (he has to be when playing with Ronaldo) and one of the most technical centre forwards in the game. I'll agree that his finishing is inconsistent but (sometimes very excellent, other times it's very off) but he's brilliant and very underrated. His link up play, dribbling ability, general technique and touch is great.

He has to sacrifice his game for the betterment of the team. I feel if he moved to another club where he'd be the main man he'd shine even more.

It's not often you find a striker that scores 20+ every season without fail and usually provides 10-15 assists to go alongside with that. He's one of my favourite strikers.

His finishing is very inconsistent I'll admit but it's just his all round, technical game that I really like. Statistically though his conversion rate isn't too bad, I think it's close to 20% which is above average for a CF if I remember correctly.
