Radamel Falcao

I guess I'm just different to you then.

When we won the double under Carlo, I could see many problems developing which probably stopped me from enjoying that season to fully. And look where we are this season. Those problems carried on form then, and now we have a few vital problems that need to be fixed. I can see United having a massive downfall after two or three more seasons.

The problem with the team is the lack of experience, a better defender than Cahill, and better DM than Mikel, a better striker than Torres and some player's lack of experience, and the biggest one is: we dont a team and no one to build one. Falcao will solve one of these problems, he is part of the process. I dont thinl anyone believe Falcao will solve everything.

I remember Carlo's first season, i thought for a fair chunk of the season their was clear signs the team was on the way down, what covered up that fact? Didier Drogba's form and goals.

i havent thought that at all, especially not since March when we started playing realy well, and i think that team was a lot more solid than Utd's team today.

There are many problems with the team right now. But yeah, I do agree. Falcao would solve the striker problem but he wouldn't solve all of our problems, like you said.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed Falcao, I would probably be excited actually. But I am still against the idea of splashing out €60M on one player.

You are right of course. Especially when you say it won't solve our problems, but will cover them up.

But for how long will it cover them up? And covering those problems up is not a long-term solution. If I was a United fan I would be terrified right now. Their dependance on Van Persie is ridiculous. What if he gets injured? I don't know. Depending so much on one player would terrify my.

Don't you hear that all the time though? First it was Van Nistelrooy, then Cristiano Ronaldo, then Rooney, now Van Persie.

Utd are a unit but they build their team around a player who will as a result excel/catch the headlights. Besides, it's both Rooney and Van Persie carrying the team currently. In terms of scoring goals and creating chances that is.

They said the same about us and Drogba but we mostly managed whenever he wasn't available or out of form in his time here.

Roman could toss Falcao's transfer fee in the fireplace and not lose any sleep over it. He wipes his ass with £ notes, remember.

Saying he doesn't have the money is laughable.

Take Cole, Terry and Lampard out and we haven't got much in terms of Premier ship experience.

also, remember our start to the season? 1 loss to Clattenburg's ManUre and we never recovered. this side needs leaders on the pitch. enough with the under-23 revolution and go out and sign players in the 24-28 year old bracket

i would have had a new CM to play next to the DM.

do you know what FFP even is? owner's money is quite immaterial. we need to break even without roman's backpocket

Things were not all rosy that season and should have been used as a warning sign. We recovered and romped to the title in the end because we were out of the CL and only playing once a week, infact the time we had to play 2 league games in a week at the end was against Bolton were we limped to a win then against Spurs were we got battered.

There were warning signs that season that the team needed to be changed but the end made us and the board believe it was all rosy, looking back it would have been better if our form patterns during 09/10 reversed.

EDIT: i completely misread your post
