I don't believe it personally. Only around 1 in 25 transfer rumours regarding us are true. Also if it's been in place since December, why release the info now? Probably because they just need something to talk about. If it is true though our board have sunk to new lows.

It just doesn't seem our style to agree a fee with a club etc. and then just say "he can join in the Summer. you can keep him for the rest of the season" especially given how our season has been going.

It's not exactly the most reputable site in the world reporting this, guys, and I don't really understand how a TV show would get confirmation from clubs or agents for a deal like this.

Falcao would be a good acquisition, but not for the money that's being quoted, and certainly not at the expense of Courtois. If we are going to spend crazy money on a striker, there's really only one that's available that I think is worth it: Cavani. Cavani has a superior work rate to Falcao, better hold up play, and is just as good a scorer. He also does a good job chipping in on defense, something I have yet to see Falcao do. Falcao is much more likely to be marginalized in a match with his set of skills. Cavani can still contribute to a team even when he's not scoring goals. He's also a little over a year younger.

I don't think Feruz is good enough to be our third choice striker. Not yet anyway. The kid needs a lot more time.

This. He has been very prolific in the youth and U21 games but most of the players he are up against are not prem quality and are similar to League 1 level. Needs more experience first Not ready for the first team at all yet. The annoying thing about the U21 is most players are not of an elite level to see how much our players really are progressing.

Relax people, this is just like in December when everyone was saying we agreed a deal for Falcao to come in in Jan. It is total bullshit. Mark my words:

I can't see this being true, but it is a possibility that could happen in the future.

I really want us to keep courtois, but i can't see us keeping him unless we bench cech. As many have said petr is world class and can be world class for another 5 years. Courtois is far too good to sit on the bench and unless we loan him out 5 years in a row i can't see him staying. The only other option is in 1 or 2 years time to bench cech and make courtois the first choice keeper but i can't see us doing that to cech especially as barring any major injuries he should be able to be as good as he is now. It's a very tricky situation and whilst i can't see us doing that deal in december for june of this year i wouldn't put it past us when the transfer window opens.

I reckon having Courtois back at Chelsea will be a good thing, if he impresses the new manager, he'll be given a chance to play ahead of Cech..and hopefully he'll take over from Cech in 3-5 years.
