I don't think Feruz is good enough to be our third choice striker. Not yet anyway. The kid needs a lot more time.

This. He has been very prolific in the youth and U21 games but most of the players he are up against are not prem quality and are similar to League 1 level. Needs more experience first Not ready for the first team at all yet. The annoying thing about the U21 is most players are not of an elite level to see how much our players really are progressing.

Relax people, this is just like in December when everyone was saying we agreed a deal for Falcao to come in in Jan. It is total bullshit. Mark my words:

I don't think we will be signing Falcao and I don't even think he will leave Madrid in the summer.

I can't see this being true, but it is a possibility that could happen in the future.

I really want us to keep courtois, but i can't see us keeping him unless we bench cech. As many have said petr is world class and can be world class for another 5 years. Courtois is far too good to sit on the bench and unless we loan him out 5 years in a row i can't see him staying. The only other option is in 1 or 2 years time to bench cech and make courtois the first choice keeper but i can't see us doing that to cech especially as barring any major injuries he should be able to be as good as he is now. It's a very tricky situation and whilst i can't see us doing that deal in december for june of this year i wouldn't put it past us when the transfer window opens.

I just don't see why we would want him, he's 28, he doesn't suit our style of play at all, neither did torres but I can't understand why we buy players and then ask them or expect them to change the way that made them successful, and no im not using torres as an example as obv he was damaged goods but my point still stands.

Cech is a great keeper...but Courtois should be challenging him for the GK spot by the end of next season.

I reckon having Courtois back at Chelsea will be a good thing, if he impresses the new manager, he'll be given a chance to play ahead of Cech..and hopefully he'll take over from Cech in 3-5 years.

I mean during the start of Mourinho's reign, Cudicini was the #1 keeper, he got a few injuries, Mourinho put faith into Cech...he began impressing everyone...and he took over as the #1 keeper.

But Cudicini has never been close to as good as Cech was and can Cech and courtois are both too good to be on the bench. Courtois can challenge him but do we want a situation where we are rotating goalkeepers?

I honestly wouldn't mind courtoius going, he's too good to sit on te bench and I'm happy with cech and maybe we can find another keeper to sit on the bench

So finally we act in a responsible manner, buying a young player to replace a key player and at the first flash of skirt from an expensive foreign striker, we drop our trousers and bend over?

Sometimes this club fucks me right off.

lol! but no doubt it would be exciting to see Falcao in the PL. But i'm really confident of Lukaku and Ba's abilities now, they are good in the air, finishing is good and movement is great, and Lukaku would just get better. I would rather see a change in tacts and formation to accommodate these 2 strikers than quick fix it with cash. We could use it to buy a midfielder instead.
