I meant Ba and Lukaku alone as some are suggesting which is laughable.

I dont find it laughable at all. Perhaps if we are to run with Ba and Lukaku we should also sign some cheap guy as 3rd, but I am confident Ba+Lukaku would be quite good and i would prefer that over a 30m bid PLUS Thibaout for Falcao any day of the week.

As of now, we need a 'pure' goal scorer. Torres is more of a team player than Falcao and this is what it is getting us. This team has been lacking a player to get the ball in the back of the net so many occasions. Too many times have we had to rely on Lampard and Mata when we don't have a forward to do so. With the likes and creativity of Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Lampard, and Moses. Falcao will undoubtedly fit our system.

but not at the expense of Courtois

as much as i rili lyk Radamel...i wont use any fucking or exorbitant penny plus Coutouis to trade or part ways in lieu of Falcao....talents of such young lad are rare to come by.....#chelsea board#pls wake up....there are better goal scorers out there....Feruz Lukaku and Ba can become a lethal force in the upcoming future.....

He is superb striker that would destroy any team and would score 40+ goals if he will play for rm or barca, but there is something on him like 'i will flop at chelsea'...

He is nothing more like superb Higuain. Scores goals but does nothing else. If he doesnt score, he is invisible in matches. We need someone who fights for the ball, runs back etc. Could be Sheva and Torres flops speaking in me, but Falcao will flop here too i think...

I hope im wrong though...

Out of interest, which 15 players do you think we should sign instead?

If we're talking about strikers with huge effort and drive who runs constantly and is a constant threat, why not a cheeky bid for Suarez? The absolute best at that.

Sure he'd be tempted to play in London, with other world class players, in the CL(hopefully!) and on bigger wages. He's gotta be growing tired of being the ONLY option on his team and having to do all of the work at Liverpool. They won't be in the CL once again.

I'd rather pay £45m for Suarez who is a proven world class player the premier league than Falcao at this point if it means we'd be giving Atletico Courtois.

That's a bad example though don't you think? Torres is just plain shit, he's not a team player or a goal poacher, he's just shit.

Cavani is a leader, he is a captain upfront, he demands goals, he doesn't go cry or sulk when he can't score goals, he goes out and makes sure he scores goals. Cavani is also a very tough player and will get on the end of anything, just the type of players you want in the Premier league, with a good first touch and good technical abillities, has a good finish on him, perfect striker. In a good team he could net you 30 a season in my honest opinion, he's very underrated.

Where as Falcao is dominent, but he would be extreemly ineffective if the team isn't playing well or can't provide creativity. Falcao struggles to make a simple pass, although he's probably one of the best goal scorers in the world, however Cavani benefits the side more. You can use Torres as an example, but i can use the example of all the goal poachers who have came here and failed, only Drogba was a worthy striker and he was far from a goal poacher, he was a team player. Anelka was a fantastic player, goal poacher now and then but hardly overall.

Since Shevchenko, every big-name striker that Chelsea will sign is doomed to fail. There is always going to be the expectation associated with a big money move in the first place, but because of the intense media scrutiny of the club, there will be immense added pressure comparing everything every striker does to what Didier Drogba achieved. Add in the prospect of being as bad as Torres has ended up... we might as well just give up now and stick with what we've got.

I agree in the main, because Ba is very proven in this league and is a great striker. Lukaku has come on leaps and bounds and is starting to live up to his potential. I definitely think we need more than 2 and the 3rd doesn't have to be someone we overpay for. I still think falcao is an amazing player and wouldn't say no to having him here at all. But its not like we absolutely must sign a top name that will cost 40 mil plus.

I know it's gone to shit, but even you know yourself that we can't do that. We are going to need a striker regardless, Lukaku is still too young for me, huge pressure, and he still has to prove himself regardless, Demba Ba is a good player but he's not great. We are going to need that forward, it wont always be this way, we will have another great striker one day.

If Chelsea are looking for one fine goal scorer, then just bring Lukaku back.

Keep Courtois for the future if possible & spend money on other players.

At that price Falcao is not for me, I might add.

45m plus Courtois who is worth close to 20m right now is not a very shrewd business.
