Sounds like a load of bollocks to me... Probably tipped off by a City Fan...

I can't see sources close to Roman revealing fuck all, if they did, wouldn't last long, his thoughts are some of the most private in the world, but he allows someone to blab to ESPN... Yeah April 1st long gone dude.... (Guy who wrote article not Kohnas)

A trophy is just a piece of metal or whatever it is made of.While getting a human being who can almost 100% surely, bring you positive emotions week-in-week-out plus trophies is far better deal as far as iam concerned.Talking about gloryhunters.

WTF I thought you were trolling now I'm actually beginning to think you mean it.

I'm going to write something on Falcao to Chelsea based on figures, I've the detail of every Falcao goal 11/12 (from a youtube video, yay!)

Falcao scores 53% of his goals via crosses, Atletico Madrid uses 25 crosses per game and they're the 3rd best team in La Liga for that

Chelsea uses 19 crosses per game and is 18th in the Premier League for that

Lol, loving this so he's pretty much the wrong man for the job completely since everyone wants him to play through the middle with our team of no width.....i hate and love being right.

AS said before Falcao needs width as deos torres.

That happens because Falcao is an aerial threat and not the other way around. Same as Torres...

Interesting!! Who would be your top choice striker when the time comes to get one?

And? You think we won't cross more if Falcao is in the team? And why didn't you just say Chelsea cross 19 times the ball and Atletico 25 without the useless other information that most people will catch on.

And who will be delivering said crosses? None of our players are particularly adept at crossing. Mata is pretty much the only one who often crosses the ball.

Ivanovic? Cole? Oscar? Hazard?

And I don't remember him scoring from any crosses against us?

So again, stats being used as 'gospel' to prove something that is subjective.

If that's the way Atletico play then he will score more from crosses, if they played through the middle guess what, he would score from there too...

Amazing... :)

A year ago our players just couldn't cross anyway even with Drogba in the team, we all know how shit Kalou and Malouda were. But right now .. Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Marin, Moses are all players who have the technical capabilities to cross and if given the instructions and if they see the point in doing that ( because let's face it crossing for Torres is just a waste the lad will never beat his marker anyway) they will do it far more often.

Stop falling into their trap.

The guy doesn't need crosses to score, just because Atletico play that way, doesn't mean he's a one trick pony...

Ignore it - these people will try and convince you Villa & Dzeko are better players...

A trophy isnt just a peice of metal! The UCL for this team has been 10 long hard years!

We won the UCL without Falcao, why can't we win it again?

Do you not have 100% positive emotions when you see Chelsea play?

The shit you come up with is really cringe worthy

Dzeko isn't a better player...but in terms of goalscoring ability & age, he'd be a good pickup for Chelsea IF City were willing to sell him.

Falcao scored 11 goals out of 36 from through balls (5), passes from open play (2) and on the ball (4, I didn't saw from where the ball came on the 1st place)

Do you think we play deep enough to play through space ? I don't think so.

My point isn't even to say Falcao won't score at Chelsea... I just find ridiculous to pretend that Falcao scored 36 goals in a crap team and will score three times much when we multiplicate that amount with the amount of stepovers Mata/Oscar/Hazard does per game.

He'll probably score something like 20 goals a season with the current pattern of play, without Torres' contribution in terms of movements and creating chances.

Please show me where I said he will score 3x as many goals?

Also, what you are failing to understand from my post - is that if the MAJORITY of his chances come from crosses, then sure his ratio of goals will be higher...

That's the fallacy of statistics - they can be manipulated easily to fit any argument...

Surely you've heard the term:

"Lies, dam lies and statistics"... :)

Not attacking you, just think you are taking my points out of context and summarising on flawed logic as a result?

In the current system logic asks a modern striker, almost a false nine able to score as well. Saying Torres prevents the 3-line to score or assist more is just ridiculous... Look at how many times Torres manages to create space and carry a CB with him.

Torres has a lot of weaknesses, he had already those in the past (at Liverpool). But I do think he's the right striker for us at the moment (he's creating chances to score, he should score a bit more cut chances though but his contribution elsewhere is already massive, probably lacks lucidity).

That current pattern doesn't requires the striker to score, that's actually bonus. That's not as excessive as Spain's false 9 but that's basically the same stuff here: Torres frees space (varying his movements, not everytime to ask the ball, what a goalscorer doesn't) and allows the 3 line to insert and score

We don't need a striker to score? Then why play with one?

This false number 9 shit has got way out of hand since that fat twat in charge of Spain used it.

Goals win games...

It's like saying in F1, we don't need a driver, just some great tyre changers... All of them are important, hence the moniker of 'Team'

But to say our striker doesn't need to score is ridiculous...

Everybody can see Torres is shit, even the players bypass him because they sick of him losing the ball... His movement / anticipation are hopeless and the sooner he is benched and then sold the better...
