Hutcho 8,443
I would honestly rather he went to the premier league than monaco. Even if it wasn't us, it would mean we would go hard at Lewy or Cavani so wouldn't really worsen our position. What a waste of talent him going to ligue 1. Just imagine, the premier league with Man city Utd and Us having 3 of the best strikers in the world. Would re-affirm the league as the greatest for sure. A 3 way title race with all teams crammed full of talent. Obviously we have the best, and hopefully jose. But would be pretty special. ashleyng 6
Most of the news at the moment simply mention Falcao with Monaco and not Chelsea. I think Falcao is a lost cause. We should go for Cavani now. If Cavani goes to City, go for Lewandowski. If Lewa goes to Bayern, then sign Edin Dzeko and Mario Gomez and rotate them with Demba Ba. Offload Torres and loan Lukaku. Special Juan 28,141
Rumours have it that he is leaving, and Scott Minto reckons it is very realistic that he could join us.
communicate 2,703
Rumour about him leaving has been there since last year, it's just a matter of is there any team willing to pay the amount that atleti want

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Welcome to Chelsea. Isn't he basically locked in for Monaco? Unsurprisingly, we've gone full retard (again) and will end up with no one.

I don't really think he'll come. Though I don't understand why he's supposedly choosing Monaco over us. Don't worry, we have Torres (ha). Do you seriously think if CFC came in with an offer that he'd chose Monaco over us? Obviously we just haven't made an offer for him.

Unsurpsingly, we've gone full retard (again) and will end up with no one.So we won't sign Falcao and might miss out on Cavani. That's not the end of the world. A front line of Lukaku, Ba, Schurrle and Torres is capable of winning the league if we actually sort out the midfield. Is that going full retard? You think Schurrle (Mediocre), Lukaku (20 year old no where near his prime), Torres (Ha) and Ba (slightly above average) can win us the league? Enjoy having your expectations and hope shattered. It will quite literally be the end of the season before it starts. Goals win you games and titles. That's that. Van Persie ALONE won United the title. Why don't you get how important it is to have a top class striker?

Van Persie ALONE won United the title. Why don't you get how important it is to have a too class striker? Is our striker the only person who can score goals for us then?I'd point you in the direction of our 2005 and 2006 title winning teams. We didn't have a single striker who scored more than the 17 goals that Lukaku scored last season. In fact Drogba scored 10 and 12 goals in those seasons whilst other strikers like Crespo barely reached double figures. We were a team that relied on goals from around the team. With players like Mata (12 goals) and Hazard (9 goals) we seem to be building that again, and if you want to look at reasons for us dropping points then I'd suggest the midfield is of greater concern than our strikers. Not every team has to do the same thing and be built the same way. Personally I'd still like us to add a striker and for me that would be Rooney because I think he fits the squad better, but if we go into the season with the four striking options I mentioned but improve the midfield then I'd back us to win the league. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Yeah that's just not happening. Sorry. The ST position alone will dictate how our season goes. If we don't get anyone I'd back Citeh to win the title.

You are pushing to sign a 60-million poacher , but don't want a kid that has banged half his goals in a lesser team in a better league for free. nono 791
First of all nothing is preventing United and City from adding goals from midfield. They will both get new midfielders and keep on improving. Also I'd rather have Cavani or Falcao here scoring 25 goals than 10 goals from Torres and 15 more goals from Mata/Hazard etc since they'll do it more efficiently. Remember even Suarez has scored many goals despite being a terrible finisher because he just keeps on shooting till he scores. Remember all those drawn games this season, and the horrible perofrmances of Torres. If we had Cavani or Falcao those would have been wins. A proven striker will hide a lot of the team's problems. Chelsea score their fair share of goals from midfield but against highly organised opposition, who are difficult to break down - a good striker makes a big difference. If you think the striking position will dictate next season for us then I'm envious of you, because you clearly haven't watched this club at all last season and had to put up with the amount of shit the supporters have.Just skip to the end of the Season Review DVD and watch the Europa League final. I won't spoil it for you, but don't switch off at the end. :eyebrows:
