Pacquiao 1,834
Kane is 22. How can you call him a one season wonder? Costa was not top class striker at that age. Kane will be a great striker.neither was Drogba, Ian Wright, Klose, Luca Toni, Henrik Larsson or Les Ferdiand to name a few.
Pacquiao 1,834
I don't think he was underestimating Costa's ability. But it is the fact that a lot of top strikers had not achieved what Kane done at his age so it woudl be harsh to call him a one-season wonder.what has Kane achieved that is so great? had one good season for an average team, playing with no pressure, now this season he had pressure to perform and look at him, he has been found out. Stats 7,147
neither was Drogba, Ian Wright, Klose, Luca Toni, Henrik Larsson or Les Ferdiand to name a few.I know and Kane has shown elements that he will be. I am a huge fan of Costa like you know but look at the age where he came a top striker.what has Kane achieved that is so great? had one good season for an average team, playing with no pressure, now this season he had pressure to perform and look at him, he has been found out.You can say the same about a lot of strikers. Kane is only 22 and has age on his side. Aguero, bar our game has struggled himself and so has Costa tbh. I don't think they have been found out. Just have struggled to get going. I think when Kane gets the first it will be the first of many.
Spike 12,049
Age is something that is overplayed and ultimately pointless as is 'potential'. Who cares? Lampard did fuck all in his career till he was 25. On the contrary Ronaldinho was burnt out by the time he was 26.
11Drogba 2,000
Still Kane at age 22 is better than Costa at age 22. Unless you have a crystal ball that helps you to see future it is nearly impossible to know how he will perform in 3-4 years.
LAM09 7,062
Costa all day at the moment, but only time will tell what lies ahead for Kane. Looking like a possible one season wonder so far.
robdog 2,084
Kane last season reminds me of Andy Carroll's season w/ Newcastle back in 2010. He was 21 years old. Has he fulfilled his potential? The answer is no, but I remember he was the greatest thing since slice bread back then.

The answer is no, but I remember he was the greatest thing since slice bread back then.Well he suffered/suffers from a lot of injuries that has halted his progress and even he did not do what Kane did. zolayes 14,489
Where was we for the first six matches of the season? You could ask where Costa has been since January .. well most of the time near the corner flag or on the ground beating the turf
LAM09 7,062
whats that got to do with Kane finding some form and possibly not being a 1 season wonder? The fact you could be jumping the gun. When/if he gets 20 goals in the league, get back to me.You could ask where Costa has been since January .. well most of the time near the corner flag or on the ground beating the turfTrue, but he did the business at the start of the season. Injuries and lack of fitness (being overweight this season) have cost him and us dearly so far.
