Term-X 7,891
I was 'for' the 1 year contracts for over 30's rule, but I think every case should be judged on a player by player basis. However, If a player doesn't reach a certain criteria, i.e fitness/performance assessment/career projection, then fair enough. OneMoSalah 8,886
A 2 year deal with the option of a further 12 months would be perfect. Could fade him out of the team eventually after the 2 years then keep him on for a year to help Bertrand still as a back up.

Porthos 35
Seeing he is rejecting contracts, looks to have one foot out the door to my untrained eyeHappy to resign him for 2 years, but he will be offered 3 years + contracts from PSG/MidEast teams on ridiculous money will be hard to turn that downLike Drogs he's won everything here, nothing more to prove, if I was in his shoes I'd look to be cashing in also while I still canSame can be said for Fat FrankProbably be having the same discussion about JT this time next year

Most of what you say is crap tbh, Cole is very loyal to us and has inisisted he wants to see out his career here. Now you are another one insulting Lamps for no specific reason. Judging by your posts you clearly are a supporter of suggardaddy teams, you are not a Chelsea fan

Personally I would offer Cole a 2 year extension ,Lampard 1 year and consider JT'swhen it arises. Peppen and Bosnian Blue
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Cole is still the best LB in the world at age 31. Doesn't that say it all? We need to keep him. Give him a 2 year deal at the least. Resting him will prolong his career and he can still be very good. I hope he retires from the National team soon. sLOVEnian Blue

Bosnian Blue 2,471
Should get 1-year contract with an option to extend automatically for another year if everything is ok (no injuries).
Spike 12,049
If he does choose to leave at the end of his contract, I won't begrudge him. However I do hope that Lucas Digne is brought in as deputy to LB, behind Ryan Bertrand.
