Where other than wingback would he play? If we play 4-4-2 where would that leave Willian?

If we persist with the same tired 4-2-3-1 he could play right winger with Willian at #10 but then Kante would have to do the work of two players with Cesc next to him in the "2."

Conte: 'Cuadrado is a Chelsea player and I am waiting for him. I'm very happy to have him, he's a player I wanted at Juventus.' #CFC

Conte says Juan Cuadrado is a player he was interested in while in Italy, and will be part of Chelsea's first team squad this season.

More deadwood staying, Great!

Nah if anything he'll be 'like a new signing', forgive the cliché.

From what I've heard he was good last season out on loan and is a player Conte's been wanting to manage since his Juve days so he'll have a clear role in mind for him if he indeed is brought back. That and the fact Cuadrado would be starting the season having been at the club for a full pre-season regime gives me hope he'd come good if given the chance.

I guess we ourselves are undecided about his future and maybe we are waiting to see how high Juve will go for Juan before making a final decision.

Good. At least Conte has no idea of loaning him out which does benefit us in anyway at all. If Juve or any other team want him, pay a transfer fee instead of this loan business without no obligation to buy.

I very much doubt Conte can improve Juan dramatically. It's fair to say he is not a talented player, not explosively fast and his moves were too predictable. I'll be more than glad to be proven wrong though, but to me his best achievement will be an average-ok sub.
