Azul 1,615
I'm sensing a Damien Duff type of player in him. Duff wasn't world class, but I think he was our best RW in ages. I thought he was in the World XI in 2002 before he joined us. Or am I wrong?

Eidur the Spider 4,515
They just had Tim Vickery on talksport, the south american football dude, and he was asked about Cuadrado and said that he wouldn't be surprised if Mourinho wanted him as he would fit the system we play well, and his pace would be good on the counter attack. Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
I think the logic here is buy players who aren't world beaters but who have a good work ethic and allow the best manager in the world mould them into squad players who can do a job for us. I haven't seen much of Cuadrado as a player but of what I have seen he is a hard worker and plays the game at a high tempo.I envision him being the type of personality who can come into a game and inject dynamism immediately, he is exactly the type of player you want coming off the bench or pushing for a start.I really think if the rumours are true that he can be a real difference maker for us in games where the tempo is slow and we don't have the right mentality to break teams down. Cuadrado for me is a change of pace guy.
zolayes 14,489
Duff could dribble past his marker, how we miss that little detail on the right side nowDuff was a left wing .. but he and robben would interchange .. Duff even played left back once....in a season where I think we played abouut 7 different left backs

It was the UEFA team of the year in 2002, Duffer was alongside Zindane, Ronaldo, Henry, Roberto Carlos, Ballack etc. Ah, beat me to it Edited January 21, 2015 by The Mak

MrBlueGuy 1,552
Considering they paid overall £17m for his ownership, doubt they will only want £3m profit. Obviously they will demand full £27m. Just hope we can do it as a 20-23+ bonuses. Also transfermarkt is rating him as £28m anyway, they are not far off the true value usually. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/juan-cuadrado/profil/spieler/91970

I doubt people like Di Marzio just start the bs rumor out of nowhere for the sake of it.Also just scored a penalty for Fiorentina

Rapkun 668
I haven't seen as much from him as I would like so I might not be completely accurate, but from memory and reports online he doesn't look like a big upgrade on Willian. Very overpriced for a player of his caliber. I understand that Fiorentina paid huge money for him (about 20m) and he made himself a reputation both in national team and the italian league but in times of FFP we have to be spending money wisely. More likely than not, he will be our only signing in the AM department if it happens.I like about him that he's very versatile, that will come in handy for tactical changes and unfortunate circumstances. He's very explosive compared to the brazilian and has a better shoot in him. but he's very sloppy in terms of tactical awareness and his decision making can be very shocking (deja vu?). Willian in terms of defensive contribution is miles ahead of him and he can secure his flank almost as much as a Ramires would. Also I'm not believing in this Schurrle exit rumors tbh. Jose and even the player admitted he was extremelly sick and refused to comment further. He was dropped at half time more often than one would expect Jose to do. He generally likes to give his players more time in the second half before he subs them out, not to mention his sudden dip in form is quite unordinary. I still think he will play a huge role for us when he will be fully back fit.
