Good/professional first half.

- Costa off the pace but working so hard, he will get his shooting boots back soon, I have no worries. Love his work ethic.

- Schurrle maximising his minutes, great to see and splendid finish.

- Hard working from Salah.

- Matic is joyous to watch.

Keep it up boys! Then bring on Ruben.

now the game is won please get FAbregas and Matic off the pitch.

Fábregas will not play against Hull and he is likely to miss the Carling Cup-game, I think he will play 90 minutes today, there is no point resting him.

How are our fullbacks? Salah? I saw the goals, missed the first half though:/

Azpilicueta peerless in defence (that won't surprise you) and Luis v.good going forwards, decent at the back.

Matic/Mikel off for RLC at HT please.

Then a Costa goal from a RLC assist in the 2nd half and i'll go to bed happy tonight.

Not a chance till we get the third, imo. Or until the last 15-20 mins.

why?

there's nothing at stake here... the scoreline is irrelevant

We have to win to get some momentum back though after losing at the weekend. If we lost 2 on the trot it would be terrible. A draw would be bearable but would much prefer a win for the team.

Even for RLC himself, it's not good to put him on for his debut in a close game at his age. No need to put such pressure on him.

there's absolutely no pressure to win... I think Mourinho will give him decent time...

There would be no pressure on them - or him, but I like Viper22's argument that we need the win for moral reasons.

Not that I think RLC would compromise that...
