iseah100 5,612
I don't think players before the 90s should be included in the "best of all time" lists. They were only great in their time. Football has really evolved with training methods and tactics etc that there is no way most of them can really be considered better than modern players. I was born in 94, but this is very narrow minded. You think the only football that should matter is from the 90's forward?

I'm not saying they don't matter, I'm saying that to claim a top player from 1950 is better than a top player today is rubbish(comparing primes ofc). I'm adamant about that with several sports, it's why I don't consider Sugar Ray Robinson, Jack Dempsey, and Willie Pep the greatest fighters ever. But the cut off should be around the 70's IMO. Today because of money we see top dollar invested in pushing players to their absolute physical limits. I believe at this point we are very much near it. So the difference in the next generation shouldn't be huge for me. They can of course, be better technically. I'm just mainly stating the physical difference would probably not increase that much. Term-X 7,891
Messi is better than Maradona & Pele, most of us here are 90's babies anyway, so it's not like you've seen every game Pele has played. Messi is youtube generation, 'everything' is scrutinised.. imagine a coke snorting Maradona in THIS era.

No one here probably has seen more than a handful of his games, but cause some old guys think he's the best everyone feels like they have to agree. Messi is youtube generation, 'everything' is scrutinised.. imagine a coke snorting Maradona in THIS era.Or maybe imagine Messi playing under the scrutiny of HGH..but for some reason, everyone outside of USA doesnt care about that.I wouldnt be surprised if a ton of athletes used HGH or something else these days. Took alex rodriguez all these years to admit to ped use and lance armstrong always denied it.
Dion 2,476
Kaka in his height wa the greatest, most amazing footballer I've ever seen.I liked Kaka better in 2005 than in 2007 when he was Ballon D'Or. He was amazing in 2005.

TheOneChan95 225
Kaka in his height wa the greatest, most amazing footballer I've ever seen.He was amazing and he made things look so easy. But in my opinion R9 Ronaldo was the best ever in his prime. Dribbling at breakneck speeds, power and incredible football intelligence. He was the epitome of talent for me. Such a shame he fell from grace. A bit sad when you realise that quite a few Brazillian superstars just lose their edge when they are supposed to be at their peak (Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka)
Madmax 9,219
Mark Noble should have had a moderately long England career. Quite an underrated player over the years.
