Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed a boost after target Mattia Destro hinted he could be willing to quit Roma.

The Italian forward was linked with the Premier League duo over the summer, but Roma remained determined to keep hold of the 23-year-old.

However, Destro has since made just five starts for Rudi Garcia’s side and refused to rule out a move away from the Serie A side in January.

‘I can only do my talking on the pitch. Some people speak with their voice, I speak on the field,’ he said.

‘I try to score goals when I have the opportunity. [should I be given] more opportunities by the coach? That’s up to the coach.

‘I think with my head, I make decisions with my head. So we’ll see.’

Watching a couple of Roma games, this dude has some talent, quite clinical, and still quite young too. His stats is also quite good, 13 goals in 20 app last season, already score 4 in 8 match this season in Serie A.

If the rumours are true, I don't want to see him playing for Arsenal. Would love him as Drogba replacement next season and provide a competition with Remy for 2nd choice striker.

Naaa lost his chance this summer when we could have signed him, instead now we got Remy so it is fine. If anything we need a top class striker who can challenge/replaces Costa who we don't know if he can keep himself fit/drop off in form, for me he is someone who has the potential of a serious injury soon especially with all these rumors going around of him not being fit.

If he wants to come here, let him come. I'd be happy to have him. Costa hasn't been the healthiest as of late, Remy is injured, and Drogba at this point always has a nagging injury, and we can't have him at his age playing that many minutes every game if both of the other two are down.

People act like having a wealth of options isn't needed. Sure, maybe not, but it is nice, and it will only help us if anything. I mean City at one point had Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo and Jovetic who could all start up front if needed. Same with United right now. RVP, Rooney and Falcao all could take that striker position on a given day. I wouldn't mind Destro here. Remy can always play on the wing as well, so it isn't like one of them will never get a game.
