Popular Post! Eidur the Spider 4,515 Posted June 8, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted June 8, 2017 Are we absolutely sure this isn't Michy Batshuayi stealing Conte's phone and telling Costa to do one. He's a cheeky enough chap to do it. oldportblue, King11Didier, Bernard N Y Burgesson and 2 others
Rekin 835
Good riddance. I guess Conte was not expecting Costa to make this public though, and I hope it doesnt hurt any potential transfer fee. My guess is that the club/Conte got tired of all the antics, both on the field and outside of it. You can tolerate it from a superstar, but Diego has not earned that label. In a way It makes me a bit sad as he he was such an upgrade on Torres, but we need someone more reliable. We are still a few transfer windows and stable seasons away from being able to compete for CL with teams like Bayern, Barcelona and Real, so getting a Lukaku that can help us constantly compete for the PL and cup titles is a good purchase for now. While nothing is completed yet, there have been some loud noises about us signing these players lately: Lukaku (linked with us heavily) Van Dijk (linked with us heavily) Mahrez Tolisso Bakayoko (used to be linked with us heavily) Alex Sandro (mentioned several times from reliable outlets, indicating something is happening behind the scenes) Dani Alves Caballero Based on this list it seems clear to me that the club know its weaknesses, and are working hard to fix them. Sandro, Lukaku, Tolisso/Baka and Van Dijk shows some real commitment to pushing the team forward, while the other names would help us with the width. I have read a theory in a few places that the club would not make any signings official until July due to Nike stepping in then. From a commercial perspective it makes sense to have new signings pose in the shirts that are going to be sold, rather than shortly be made unavailable. The important thing is that things are actually happening in the background, and they seem to be. mashimaru161

mccg 1,528
What a week, first the Hazard injury , then another Costa situation , this has the making of a white knuckle summer transfer window going into the new season
Fulham Broadway 17,311
Fitted our system perfectly, but with a shite attitude. In Conte we trust the wes, Supermonkey92 and RoyalBlues
Special Juan 28,141
If true then kudos to Conte. That hissy fit over China mid season could of completely derailed our season. Thanks for the goals, good luck elsewhere. quickpassnmove

Anywell, "We must analyze the situation coldly." (Conte after the FA Cup loss). So ruthless. You do know he said China is not an option because he wants to play next world cup? Obviously there could be many many other things, like personal dissagreements with Conte or his desire to return to Atletico which Im sure Conte is not fond of. But the way we are dealing with this situation is beyond embarrassing. Like I said, its allright if Costa leaves for various reasons, but this shouldnt be brought to media by Conte and Costa. Bottom line, shit attitude or not, commited or not, he has been next to Eden the KEY player for two PL titles. If things go south with next striker, I will be seriously pissed at Chelsea for making Costa as easily replacable as this, because he is still best striker we had since Drogba. The last thing I want is getting a nice striker who will bang 30 goals per season and turn into hiding in every bigger game like Higuain, because in such case I prefer a loose cannon like Diego. Costa brought this to the media's attention. Cfc and ANTONIO have done nout. Supermonkey92, EMK and oldportblue

I agree just pulling your post for saying antonio and chels are handling the situation wrongly when in fact neither has mentioned anything publicly( as usual). But yes costa being a knob and saying what he's said isn't great for us mashimaru161 and EMK
Artandur 939
Commitment is number one for antonio. The fact that diego made this public is yet another proof that antonio can't count on him in that regard. Getting lukaku instead, whose commitment to chelsea would probably be his biggest plus seems like a logical move. CHOULO19 24,332
It could be that Conte actually texted it him that or it could be that he made it up because he wants to make sure that he leaves because either way he just demolished any chance of him staying here; which, if you've been looking closely, he's been trying to do for more than a year now. Diego is a good player who's played a major role in helping us win two PL titles. But he's not irreplaceable and the fact that he's not being linked to any of the top teams in Europe is evidence, I think, that he is overrated by us and the English media. I've never been a fan of his attitude neither on nor off the pitch, but I genuinely wish him all the best of luck and thank him for what he's helped the club achieve in his time here. the wes, Fernando, BlueLyon and 1 other

He want to leave chelsea only for Atm so the most logical action would be to wait untill Jan before trying something. No one want him but ac milan now.
