The Chels 2,502
Is this meant to be as bad as Drogba's injury? You know, the one reported where he would be injured for months on end and we would have to call the sirens for the transfer window for the replacement?Wait, didn't Didi play against Leicester?I don't really understand the sarcasm here. It was AS who made up the Drogba 'months out' story but that's got nothing to do with this as nobody's saying Costa's out for ages. It's just being reported that he's injured (again).Karma really fucked us in the ass on this one Karma for what?

Guess we'll see some new links with other strikers coming out of the blue.
jasonlol 154
so from what I understand from reports; its likely to be a grade 2 tear based on intial assement which is 4-6 weeks out; but their gonna assess it fully today and it could be muscle tightness(meaning he could be ready 4 everton)
Binka 5
Honestly, do you think we can we win the league without Costa if this injury is serious?
danjordan4 0
They will always give you the maximum of weeks out. Hopefully he'll be back in a shorter amount of time. This does give Mourinho a stronger case for going and getting a new addition especially with Torres potentially moving on. Falcao???For now we'll let King Drog take charge again :-)
123-blue 19
Karma really fucked us in the ass on this one Karma? What in fuck for? For buying a striker that can actually put the ball in the back of the net rather than continuing with the tradition of buying duds? Styles 9,790
Perhaps this is Mourinho's way of putting pressure on the board to get a deal for a striker done... When/if Costa is out we're no better than last season. kellzfresh

kellzfresh 7,229
If Costa truly is injured (the fact that its a recurrence of a hamstring injury makes it worse) then we have no one to blame but ourselves. With all the time Mourinho has spent eulogizing over Costa in the media, we should have been going all out to sign a alternative. Aguero hasn't even started any of City's games so because Jovetic has been simply amazing but yet the media want to declare us title favourites? Baloney. You don't go to war with only one competent striker when your main title rivals have four. Hopefully, it's not a serious tear and it's just a strain. He still will miss the Everton match regardless which is a big blow. This is a reality check of who the title favourites really are. I said before in the English football thread, We have a fantastic first eleven but as a squad city >> usWe need another striker, destro something or get ready for an even worse strikeforce than last season. Hybrid Angel 2,130
Worse actually.Debatable. Cesc can be a major improvement to any team and he can help even the worst strikers with those through balls. seanptmiller and Dion

A situation we really shouldn't have to even contemplate. Styles

A situation we really shouldn't have to even contemplate. We're absolutely horrendous upfront if Costa is not playing. I'll go as far as saying that most PL teams are better than us in that position if we don't include Costa. I don't understand how is it ok for our main rival to have 4 top notch strikers but we can't even have two.We need a striker and no it doesn't depend on Costa being injured or not. If we don't sign a decent striker I'll be really dissapointed. I wish we go for Remy. Failed medicals don't matter much when you're not first choice and have proven yourself before anyways. kellzfresh, Stingray, zolayes and 1 other

Mustafa 885
Plot twist: We keep Torres and while Diego Costa is out he finally becomes the Torres of old! Ahhhh starting with Everton on Saturday. Bangs in a hat trick!

The only place to be 11,313
Obviously no-one knows the extent of the injury so put the razor blades down for a second people. We're clearly trying to move Torres on, we've been linked with Destro and we still have Drogba, although I'd also be inclined to throw in Bamford. It's not ideal but it's not the disaster that some are making it out to be.
