Sovieticus 743
How do all these Italian journalists apparently know more about transfer dealings between English and Spanish clubs than the English/Spanish media themselves?Voodoo

Miki-Liki 405
If we get him we still have the worst striker amongst the top European teams etc Barcelona, Bayern, Real, Utd, etc. Doesn't really change our position much in that regards and he isn't cheap or old either so we'll be stuck with him for quite a while and if things don't work out this deal is really going to hurt us. Can't hurt more than our 50 million hitman.

So? It does change our position, look how far we got with torres/ba/eto. We have the best coach in the world, best young attacking player in the world, and the best one of the best gk in the world. Along with a solid defense. Costa could bag 30-35 goals in all comps and we would be in a terrific position. Don't be so pessimistic. xPetrCechx 13,572
In a phone interview with World of Sports program on Culture Radio Aracaju, the striker said that his transfer to Chelsea is very close. " I'm waiting for the confirmation. It's coming. There are only a few details left " - confessed Diego Costa, not wanting to give further information. manpe 10,861
Done deal. It will be announced on Tuesday. Chelsea have paid the release clause. Like the Tuesdays a week, two weeks, three weeks and four weeks ago? Or maybe I'm confusing it with Fabregas.

LDN Blue 7,903
Does anyone know what the delay is all about? I mean United managed to wrap up Shaw 2 days after England came home. We managed to conclude Fabregas before Spain even played..

We managed to conclude Fabregas before Spain even played..It's gotta be that rumored tax issue, right? That if you meet a release clause for a player in Spain you have to pay a shit load on top of it in taxes so maybe we're trying to negotiate a fee of just below the clause. nate91 36
So funny that you guys complain about Torres and his mistakes/technical ability and yet you all want Costa who is far worse on the ball and will not create chances for anyone else. In fact, I can't wait till Costa gets here and wonders why our midfield will not pass the ball to him when he tries to make a run. Costa is in a much better position coming in then Torres though as we have signed Fabregas who is one of the best creators in the world. cadenza666 221
delayed issue probably regarding the buyout clause and understandable . Atletico agree to a fee of 31,999,999 no taxes involved. Once we activate buyout clause, taxes come into effect - Costa has to deposit with Atletico the 32,000,000 plus taxes which would mean total deal in excess of 45m GBPPresident of Atletico is a right cunt, give them Courtois for 3 years and will not negotiate with us which is why he keeps on saying 'our players will only leave if the exit clause is met'

Yea man we should give Torres a chance ! he really deserves more time to prove what a great striker he is.Now that we have Fabregas he'll surely score 30 goals. Rather than focus on his aggression or his directness, this time the focus is on how he plays in behind a striker, in a supporting role. The spotlight is on his technique, its nuances, his positioning, how he holds off defenders and makes passes just at the right time."and you want our new signing to struggle? piss off
