MrBlueGuy 1,552
Fabregas is not a big game player, he is a great player who can DOMINATE AGAINST SMALLER TEAMS though. Nothing wrong with that, in fact he was brought in to do that as we struggled against small teams last season. If he was that complete midfielder Barca wouldn't have sold him in the 1st place. He is still one of the best midfield in BPL, just that he isn't up to it in big games for some reason. It was the same at Arsenal and Barca, no idea why anyone can debate against that.It is a negative though and anything negative against one of our best player= abuse immediately

What he is though is FAR SUPERIOR going forward and he is more intelligent imo.

There is a reason why we have scored more goals and we find ourselves top of the league. You do realise that Fabregas in his Arsenal days controlled Liverpool many times right. WOW. Big deal. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Fabregas was incredibly poor in this game but please let's not take it too far. He's had a big part to play in our impressive season so far, don't turn this into an attack on the player. Barbara

Popular Post! Stats 7,145 Posted October 26, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted October 26, 2014 LOL like seriously the way some fans change reactions on a player based on one game is utterly ridiculous. If he had consecutive games where he was below-par then it would be understandable but like any normal human being, he has his bad days. Today was one of them even though he recorded an assist. He has been nothing but a revelation to his team and has turned us into genuine title contenders. Messi was poor on Saturday but judging by some of the knee-jerkers on here, that will probably mean he can't perform in big games Total clowns, some people. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Also hardly any midfield always play good in big games, I can think of a few over the years and now. Modric, Lampard, Gerrard, David Silva, Alonso...etc. If you want the most complete midfield in Europe though try Vidal but he is like the only 1 in the world. So really just be happy we got Fab and accept that he is a big game bottler aka going missing when it get tough.Doesn't matter though, just keep on getting 20 assists for us every season and it is fine. Gilvorak 3,734
Awful performance. You see how Kroos and Modric performed this past week in big games and then Cesc plays like that. He along with Drogba tiring were the biggest reasons we couldn't keep hold of the ball as soon as Oscar went off.Hazard was on fire but because he went into hiding he didn't get enough of the ball. Needs to impose himself more in these games, average against City, Arsenal, Everton and United. Matic was equally poor in the 1st but came out all guns blazing in the 2nd while Fabregas barely recovered bar a 20 minute spell.

Barca was a different story (he missed quite a few big games at Barca though, he was often benched) but to act as if it was the same at Arsenal is silly. Dion 2,476
So much overreaction after a draw on a strong opponent's home turf, you'd even think we'd lost. Maybe people forgot but I still remember most people predicted Utd finishing top four of the league and that was even before Di Maria was signed. Maybe they're not in a good moment and not playing to their full potential yet but they still have plenty of quality attacking wise and beating them at OT against the ref is not an easy feat. Fabregas didn't have a great game but it happens. Messi and CR7 were some of the worst players on the pitch just yesterday, it happens even to the best of the crop. He was great in many big games at Arsenal, but most of the time Arsenal choked as a team and it was much easier to man-mark Fabregas as the main source of creativity, but he was still great in many big games.Don't let Barcelona fans' propaganda cloud your memories. Fucking hell, the overreaction here is amazing. Iniesta, Messi, CR7 all were poor yesterday. They must be bottlers too.
