Based on history, he finds the best tactics for the talent he has. We don't have much talent for any formation so Conte will have to buy players for his preferred style of play. Hopefully there'll be a lot of changes.

We can always take up the permanent signing options of the Falcao and Patodeals and go for the ol' 4-4-Flop  PS: @manpe wasn't it you who came up with that during the Torres era? communicate 2,703
It is always funny that whenever he came on as substitute suddenly we are always playing much better football. He is the only player in our team that can really pass the ball and know how to orchestrate an attack. BUT whenever he came on, in almost all the games that I watched this season we always concede a goal straightaway. DYC. 7,542
Someone needs to force Cesc, Obi and Matic to watch Motta's performance at least 20 times over. Midfield masterclass. I like Cesc but to build a team around him? Give me a break. He's too limited. You compare him to Verratti and it's not even fair anymore. Cesc playing a 2-man pivot was doomed to fail from day one. It was never a sustainable solution. He was a nice football brain, but he's laughable from an athletic perspective. Continuously bossed, bounced and abused by competent CL level midfield's. He's lucky Veratti didn't play today to embarrass him further. The Chels and Blue-in-me-Veins

Nice technique but that's not enough at the top level against elite opposition. We should cash in now while we still can. China?

I really don't think he has much value though. I'd rather give him a chance under Conte to see what he can do.
Popular Post! Pizy 18,904 Posted March 9, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted March 9, 2016 He's a problem next season only if we continue to play him in a two man midfield. He just can't play there against decent or better sides as he's so immobile. If we use him in a 4-3-3 with the proper players around him doing the leg work whilst allowing him to do what he does best then he's one of our best players. I hope to see him in our shirt next season. killer1257, Tomo, Barbara and 3 others

A supposedly top player that has so many flaws that his reputation far exceeds his actual ability and contribution. It used to be Oscar but the general consensus now is that he's shit. Pirlo needed also "babysitters" and Pirlo was considered to be one of the best playmakers at his time.He had basically the same problem as Cesc due to the fact that Pirlo is also quite immobile and not the best dribbler in the world, but when players like Vidal,Pogba or Marchsio started to protect him,Juve started to play really, really well.If we lose Cesc,we will have no creativity in our midfiled and there is no player in the transfer market out there that has at least half the creativity of Cesc. Players like Matić, Cahill, Oscar, and Ivanovic are what's wrong with our team. Players who are either ultra limited or just plain mediocre. Cesc has been borderline great since Mou left. Put him in the best circumstances to succeed and he thrives. bethos1, Barbara and Unionjack
