The Mak 4,459
Screw the game, I'm just glad the lad is ok. Really looked like a bad one...we're lucky he's only a part-time footballer, full-time TANK. NiclasCFC and Sidzeret

LAB 1,030
Very good news. I think he could be not only "ready for Stoke" but also actually even play at Stoke. Jose pls do it.
CHOULO19 24,332
That's a relief. Was genuinely worried about him, especially after seeing the reaction of the players around him. Head injury is nothing to take lightly. MrExcalibur100
Sidzeret 2,257
Glad he's back on his feet and there's no injuries to the neck. I was scared for a moment there. And how high he can jump never ceases to amaze me. roba3y

Head injury is nothing to take lightly. I think the players were like that because of the terrible reaction from the medical staff on the ground (not Eva and co). Took so long to get on the field and then took forever walking to him.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Medical staff should be ashamed of themselves, could they go any fucking slower at one point? I mean when two professional footballers have to go get involved to speed things up as well just shows that some of these people, who are being entrusted with professional athletes (who are people with families first and foremost) health and wellbeing if they need their assistance, need to have a long hard fucking look at themselves.Sure it was only a cut in the mouth and many might feel I'm overreacting a bit but imagine if it was much much more severe say like what happened to Fabrice Muamba when he had heart issues on the pitch or even something like Petr's head injury. These guys need to be fucking quick and quite frankly I'd be embarrassed if the med team at the Bridge took that long to get on the park to see to an injury. Good to see Kurt's ok and its nothing major. The Mak and CHOULO19

mikeholiday 209
Petr's protective head gear... Does it have any cushion or not? Really looked like a solid hit from the replays i've seen.

Really looked like a solid hit from the replays i've seen. That's why it special designed to fully protect Cech's head from that kind of collision. It looks like thisAlthough I don't know for sure if there are new design or not, which Cech using right now

CHOULO19 24,332
“Eva was saying at least three times prior to that through the radio, ‘Bring the stretcher’. We could hear it,” said Cech. “I think that was why everyone was upset with the call. We heard ‘Bring the stretchers’, ‘Bring the stretchers’ and ‘Bring the stretchers’ but nobody was coming. I think that’s why the players got involved."“The doctor was there quickly, everybody was there making sure he was OK. Our medical team and the referees they did really well. The other guys took a little bit of time, but I don’t think the player was in danger at that time because the doctor was with him, Eva was with him.”http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11298711/Petr-Cech-clash-of-heads-with-Chelsea-team-mate-Kurt-Zouma-could-have-been-much-worse.htmlHopefully this sparks some discussion on how the medical teams on the ground should respond. In certain situations, quick response can be the difference between life and death. We know all too well from the Muamba and Foe incidents. Shane 2,275
I really really think its time to start giving him League games over Cahill and seeing how he gets on.Every time he's played this season he's been nothing short of sensational. Cahill is brilliant at throwing his body on the line but his defensive clearances leave alot to be desired. They seem to always land straight at the other teams centre forwards feet. Zouma looks so composed and comfortable on the ball, and he's only 20.I would say he's going to be the next John Terry but John Terry was not this good when he was 20. 2 goals in 6 starts too, and would have got one against Lisbon until Mikel bundled it over! It's no wonder that often medics are sceptical (not that I'm excusing what happened last night). I remember a match a few seasons ago, can't remember who for which club, went off on a stretcher and was fine 5 minutes later. Obviously faking. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Tbf I hope he recovers but it is also ironic to see him in those serious pains usually he is associated with giving them out himself
cosmicway 1,333
I was worried because even when the stretcher came, they had difficulty putting him in.Also with Courtois against Arsenal, because of the nature of the symptom.
