Mufassir08 2,400
How did he perform last week against Ajax? I only know Vitesse won and PvA scored! He struggled a bit initially but growed into the game. One thing that i have noted about him this season is that his attacking game has improved a lot.I think right back should be his main position from now on. ja1 1,166
He has won Czech young player of the year. Cech as usual has also won Czech player of the year (6 times in a row, a new record).

zolayes 14,489
atm I like to see Ryan being used to rest Ashley ...DO NOT want to see him playing in midfield or on the wing Blue Armour and xPetrCechx
CHOULO19 24,332
He was one of our better players yesterday. He is so much better at LB.
Ollie 4,400
He's a pretty strong, solid LB but is a hopeless LW. I really hope Benitez or any future manager we have don't try and keep playing him LW just to try and accommodate him in the side. I'd like to see him start being a bit more attacking though, like Luke Shaw, he has it in his locker to be very Bale Like (Shaw), don't forget Bale was a LB only 4 years ago and his whole career at Saints. Bertrand doesn't have the attacking, beating a man and getting a cross over element that Ash has. He really needs to add that string to his bow to make it here. He can do it, he has done it before but he's not ambitious enough too often. At the moment, Ryan Bertrand is just a bog standard left back. Rubber bullets 1,183
I fear this young man lacks ambition. At 23 going 24 he should be wanting to be a first choice in his club's left back position. Going to the media and saying how glad you are that your rival for that left back position is staying for another year (and with most managers likely to go safe and make Cole unchallenged for that spot, means he will probably not be getting regular first team football in his natural position until he is about 25), comes across as someone with not much confidence in his own natural abilities and accepts defeat that he will be spending the rest of his time at Chelsea ass a sub before leaving for pastures greener. Rubber bullets 1,183
Lacks ambition because he wants to continue to learn from arguably the best left back England and Chelsea have ever had. Right...His 23, he has played nearly 150 senior games, he was in the starting line up in the winning team of a Champions league final. He does not need a personal tutor, especially from someone who basically, whether on form or name only, will always limit his game time in his favored position, at a stage of his career where he should be playing regularly. Saying that he is happy to have Cole stay for another year, possibly even longer, comes across that he is happy to continuously be a bench player a lot of the time - not exactly the sign of a hungry player wanting to succeed. For all we know we could say that he is patient enough because he knows he that he's in a great position to become a starting left back at a great club like CFC rather than being happy to go to a mid table team which also screams no ambition. He should be playing regularly right now IMO. He's good enough to play 20-30 games at left back but our current manager doesn't seem to want to rest Ashley in games where we don't really need him. bluesman2610 1,417
rested ashley in a game " we didn't really need him" and bertrand is the cuplrit of ball watching and silly foul... i know hes only 23 but at that age ashley cole was a much better option.. anyone else thinking ryan may not make it here a chelsea's number 1 left back.. may seem like a knee jerk but look at his opposite in azpi who is of same age and currently miles ahead in development to ryan...great lad but if ryan is going to be the guy for us in the future starting next season he has to be number 1 or hes pretty much done at chelsea cause only playing cups is not enough gametime to keep match sharp.. and that was evident today The only place to be
ja1 1,166
Steve Clarke travels to Holland to watch Chelsea loan defender Tomas Kalas play for Vitesse: Steve Clarke... http://t.co/293RcNFLMY Wouldn't do him bad staying at Vitesse at the rate they're improving (probably be in CL next season and if not they'll definitely be in Europa), but WBA would also be good to give him that PL experience. zolayes
