Rumor: Mohamed Salah has spoken to Basel and asked for a renegotiating fee with Liverpool. He wants to try join Liverpool before making a move to Chelsea.

"Salah told me personally that he wants to come to Chelsea" - Mourinho @last press conference.

For me, that's better than any other rumor.

It's definitely his. Check out some of his other tweets. There are pictures of him from his wedding. Even his FB page said that he will join Chelsea and that has 1.2m likes.

Just had a look at his facebook there. He also has this as his cover photo:

Surely he wouldn't be given the number 10? I thought maybe it would be reserved for Hazard or even Willian next season? (I know Oscars number is 11 for Brazil as well, so he won't want it).

I don't really have anything against it, but its a big enough number for what seems like a squad player. At least its not like giving number 9 to Steve Sidwell or fucking KHALID BOULAHROUZ! God, Mourinho really didn't give a shit about the numbers did he?

Not sure who I'd prefer, Salah or Griezmann.

Oscar is Brazil's number 10, not 11, he's just swapped with Neymar ahead of the WC for commercial reasons.

Oscar/Willian/Hazard all deserve the shirt over Salah.

I don't think you can switch numbers in mid season unless you're suggesting we keep the number 10 free till the summer? But like you said, Jose never cared about shirt numbers.

Two of the three I agree with, but Willian doesn't IMO.

Also, Griezmann is a good player, but he hasn't performed in the CL for a better team than Basel.

I really don't think they would only do it temporarily. Oscar is our no. 11 here so it made sense for him to switch. Neymar is their poster boy for this year, so it also made sense for him. I don't think Oscar really cares about the politics of the number whereas Neymar and the people around him would...

Yeah, that it. I just thought it'd be nice for Hazard to get it for next season because he was no. 10 at Lille and is so for Belgium, but again, Mourinho doesn't really care I suppose.
