LAM09 7,056
Showed a bit of life today, and should have doubled Ghana's lead when they were 1-0 up.
robdog 2,084
I checked Atsu's performance vs Algeria & he looked very lively. He was contributing to the attack. Defensively a bit shaky, but The Black Stars got the 'W'

I read he had the lowest pass completion rate on the pitch. you can't judge a performance by reading a stat's sheet mate. Come on now. Atsu got forward many times & had key passes for shots on goal. Ok they didn't convert, but he was helping to create chances. Again I did say he had some slip ups in his defensive responsibilities. Also Algeria are no mugs. Very talented side, who IMHO were unlucky to lose the match.

The stat was just to back it up. Yes, he did well to create a few chances, but he should not be giving the ball away as easily as he sometimes did.Algeria have been playing pretty badly and well below their potential which they showed in the WC, but credit to Ghana who executed their match plan to perfection even if they did get a bit of luck. Bro it was almost the last play of the match when Ghana scored the winner. Ghana played was in Brazil my friend & played Germany better than the Hosts Give some props to Ghana & don't be so harsh on Algeria, who IMHO are still favorites to win The Big Dance of Africa. OneMoSalah 8,886
To think Martinez won't play him regularly when players like Barkley, Mirallas, McGeady have all been pretty piss poor most of this season annoys me.

If, despite that, and despite the struggles of the players you listed, he still won't select Atsu, it can only mean that Martinez simply does not rate our man. The Everton boss must initially have seen something he liked about Atsu but obviously he's changed his mind now that he's had a closer look.We need a new plan for Atsu. lionsden 4,689
Let him and Moses replace salah. No need to splash the cash on another average winger. Chelsea?, BleedsBlue, Viper22 and 1 other
Viper22 2,418
Call him back from loan. Martinez is obviously bitter that we mugged them for the Lukaku transfer fee xD.1st choice: -Hazard---Willian---Cuadrado-2nd choice: -Atsu---Oscar---Remy/Ramires-Looks good to me. Magic Lamps 11,692
Top bloke. Has impressed whenever he has played. Had a good world cup and an even better ACN.Also seems to be a decent person off the pitch. Never complained about us loaning him around without ever giving him a chance. Further he is said to be charitable like many African footballers are. Reddish-Blue
