petre.ispirescu 4,928
"I'm very happy to be joining Everton because it's a great club, which likes to play football, and it's a great pleasure to be here," Atsu told evertontv.Glad that the Chelsea board chose to send him to a football team that actually likes to play football. Seems the right move. Imagine if he had to go to a rafting team, or hiking in the US.
Myself 793
IF WE FUCKING SELL HIM AT THE END OF THE SEASON.
King11Didier 916
I wish him good luck and enough minutes at Goodison Park to show that he is good enough to play in Chelsea next year. He is an exciting player for sure and he deserves this very good loan opportunity.
lionsden 4,689
There's no reason why Salah and Moses should be in the squad ahead of this guy and Thorgan Hazard. How the Chelsea board decides who's senior team ready/material, I will never understand.

Tomo 21,751
How did he do? An Everton fan on 606 5 live said he was a rabbit caught in the headlights. It was a 5 minute debut against Arsenal mind so can't take to much out of it. Popular Post! Shogun 721 Posted November 20, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted November 20, 2014 Before I say anything about Atsu, I will say that with our fans he never had much of a hope in the first place. A lot of Everton fans have clouded memories of Deulofeu being the next messiah (he really wasn't even that good) and Atsu is the like for like replacement for him in the team this season and he is constantly compared to him (with all Deulofeu's poor aspects forgotten, and there were a lot of them).Regardless of how he's viewed by fans, he has really struggled for us this season. I think he started against Crystal Palace at home earlier this season (lost 3-2 ffs) and had a decent game but ran into opposition players a bit too much and had periods where he couldn't find a way into the game. He got taken off on the hour mark but I think that was pre-meditated. He started against Krasnodar in the Europa League in Russia and he was abysmal to be fair. He had a spell of not being able to even make the bench after that and was correctly pulled off at half time in Russia. He came back into the fold against Lille at home the other week after we were 3-0 up and looked short of confidence. He ran into defenders again and then just stopped trying to take on players and took the easy option. So all in all, it's not been great so far. I personally still have hope for him as I think it's just a case of him getting up to speed with playing in a league with actual defenders (quite different from the Eredivisie) as well as adjusting to a new area and integrating into a new team. With Mirallas out for the last couple of months he had a big opportunity but for whatever reason it didn't work out. Most Everton fans will have written him off but let's be honest, what do football fans know? It's still only November and there's plenty of time yet. 5354 204
I rated him quite high after seeing his performance at Vitesse. WC was so-so for him.Right now, he needs to regain his performance/confidence imo.Is he rotting away at Everton?
LAM09 7,056
I hope he can regain some form at the AFCON.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Is he rotting away at Everton? He is and it's really disappointing to see. I've never got why teams get a player in on loan and don't even touch them, not even chance them.
